Damn GGG, your player base is a rough crowd.

I think an AH would be a terrible idea. It goes directly against the survivalist feeling of the game.

You are an exile tossed onto the beaches with the undead knawing at your feet. Civilization has collapsed. Putting an AH anywhere in the game wouldn't fit the game narrative and aesthetics at all. In act 10 people are just barely getting back on their feet, and last thing I want to see is a bunch of players crowding around an AH NPC with MTXs up the whazoo, while all the townsfolk are mourning the dead.

From a game developer's perspective, it is:

1. Not in-line with game aesthetics and lore.

2. Very difficult to implement, and the on-going support and maintenance for the system would take an insane amount of dev time.

3. GGG is always all-hands on the next league/expansion, and that includes tight deadlines and narrow margins. This effectively means; do we advance the story of PoE and add new content for players to enjoy, or do we not release a league and instead release an AH system?

4. Trade has worked alright so far, and while I don't think this is the last we'll hear of it - it is not a large enough issue at this time for most players.

Getting back on topic here: I actually stopped playing for now, and won't buy supporter packs in the near future.

I felt that after bertayal, changing the master system, delve and now synthesis, there is just too much stuff in the game, which drastically reduced the fun I have in game (this is, of course, my personal opinion - if you like what has been added throughout the last 12-18 months, more power to you!).
At the same time, my IRL responsibilities took away some of the leisure time I used to invest in PoE. Putting both factors together - less time to play, more things in game I don't really like - led me to gradually drift away from PoE, both in terms of time played and supporter packs bought.

I would love to see the game find it's way back to a slicker, less convoluted version of days past. I'm certainly not quitting for good, but I doubt that I'll get hooked again as I once was.

New mtx come out more frequently than patches and bug fixes.
People complained about syndicate freezes for months. During that time a whole bunch of new cosmetics came out, but not fix to a game breaking bug.

Well considering doing the 3D art on an item is way faster than fixing bugs it's not surprising.

And before somebody say they could design new uniques instead of cosmetics : new uniques means new coding to make their abilities work which means more coding time and less patch/dev time.

Gotta find something for the Art Team to do.

Your comment is highly offensive and disrespectful. Artists play an incredibly important and vital role in the success of a game. You’re a fool if you think otherwise, son.

Never said they aren't, but designing a league clearly takes a lot more coding time than it takes to create the art of PoE.

They even said themselves that they re-use content and just give it a new shiny coat of paint to make it new because it's 1)cheaper 2)easier 3)get's the job done

So yea artists at GGG design cosmetics microtransactions while they wait for the new content to be decided.

That's the financial plan of the compagnie. Without the artists GGG wouldn't make money.

GGG's artists do a really great job. GGG decided that their main job should be more focused on making money that creating new gameplay content. Which fits really well with GGG policy of 3 month cycle : brainstorming/creating/fixing

1: this game has a story/lore?! :O
2: its already implemented in the console version
3:
4: i agree but disagree at the same

I didnt really think it was this bad and really trading works for the most part as it is now but i still feel like an AH would be better

I played maplestory and without its AH i never traded so theres that

I buy packs for me not for supporting ggg/tencent

This is the best reason to, but you have to understand that withholding these purchases as a form of protest is legitimate too.

I can just agree. As long as we purchase packs and givin profit to GGG they wont consider any changes regarding trading. But GGG should never forget its us who decide what comes next.

They maybe dont care when 1000 stop spending money but they will notice when 10000 and fall when 100.000 stoping it. I just hope that that players wake up. I dont cry for an Auction house here..... im happy with any real trade improvement.
I was one of those who was going to buy a synthesis package to support the company's work, but after seeing how the problems grow .....
Abandoned and bottling system of commerce, insufficient map drops and in each league the amount of garbage in the form of larger items.
Logically if you put more content to elaborate and do not balance the drops of everything old, the rng becomes unstable and each league is more a struggle to keep sane than to enjoy it.
The famous rng of the streamers and that everyone knows that exists but deny, I do not know why.

As the trade is arranged, it is very easy:

1 - Sellers that can change exalteds by 75-85 chaos (more or less has been an acceptable price until 3 leagues ago) this would stop the escalation of bots and the sale in pages of third parties to a great extent. You can not leave a trading system in the hands of a few, especially since 98% of those few use bots.

2- Being able to report to the sellers that they do not respond if they are not afk in the game, giving them a prudential time for it. Not being able to change the price of an item if it has been on sale for more than 30 minutes and not being able to list it again in 7 days if it has been more than 5 minutes and you have removed it or changed the tab. The times are an example.

3 - Add a map rng system separate from everything else.

4- When reaching X tier map the fall of white, blue and yellow items must be at least X tier minimum. As when you make, as it is possible that in an item 85-86 lvl out tiers very low.

5- It seems legitimate to use a system that favors streamers because they give publicity to the game on different platforms, but there are other ways to do it without having to touch their rng tables, which only gives false expectations to the players .
Enough is that they give them all the MTX, invite them to events etc ..
