I've noticed the last few builds on here using dread banner and ball lightning. How are you getting stacks for the banner since it only works with attacks? Wouldn't it make more sense to use war banner without precision and use a carrion golem?

Hey man, you have 5 x Healthy Mind jewels on your passive tree. I can't put even the second one because it says "Limited to 1".
How do you use 5 of these? |

Honestly, I believe this is the best all-around build in the game. Extreme defense with high energy shield, high armor, high block, high sustain, super OP molten shell and vaal molten shell. You get the timeless jewel for double block which greatly reduce enemy burst damage, most attacks just heal you.
And it is good clearing speed and full screen damage. You don't have to aim either so you can stand far back cast balls of lightning and let your minion do the work, allows you to avoid a lot of the boss mechanisms compared to say, cyclone variants of this build. You can get 500K - 1.5 million shaper damage depend on how many minion damage nodes you pick up, and how offensive do you gear and whether you pick up some of the minion damage nodes. Looks like cold iron point DOES WORK with hatred, check out the damage of this thing in POB with two of them, hatred with generosity. " I'm thinking about doing this myself. I completed the Atlas on my main and i'm really having fun with this build, even if not 100% completed. I modified various passive points, gear and gems and i'm finding the right way to correctly reserve the correct amount of mana to make every aura work. I'm lv 73 now, by the time i reach lv 90 if i feel the build is working maybe i will write myself a guide about this, would be my first one ^^ |

I figured out a way to use hatred without the expensive ring (I am on standard, the thing is 25 EX) or helmet enchant. It does require shaper's glove with +1 gem level or enlighten 4. If you don't have either, you will need to run skitter bot (or discipline if you are less than 10K energy shield) and dread banners, which is still a lot of damage, just not as good as hatred with generosity AND elemental equilibrium. If you have the ring, you get big damage increase AND you can free up a lot of talent points. If you have the ring AND helmet enchant, you can do some crazy things like add skitterbot for another 24%, or discipline for more defense. Although I find this build is for the most part about block/energy shield on block sustain, it is not like occultist at all. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/KlB647gh5 I am level 83 and already killed Uber Elder deathless with ease, and my character is no where near as good as the two I listed above. | |
