Windowed Fullscreen Not at Fullscreen Resolution

How do you use Shift Window with Path of Exile? And whats the result? How do i set it so i dont need to change window modes every time i launch PoE.
Bumping this because this bug still isn't fixed.
Very annoying bug - sorry to say that. Any chance to have the game starting as in fullscreen windowed after saving settings in the option?
I have the same partial full-screen issue on a 1280x1024 monitor. It's like it makes space for the Windows taskbar plus a little more.

I use two monitors and would like PoE to fill my main monitor when in windowed fullscreen. It's not a big deal, but a little annoying.
I had the same issue too - its in the full screen/window option - u have to set it first then the size of your window and the radon doesnt let u have exactly what you want either ... mine is finally set now and I dont have to keep redoing it. Try the order you set your options in (yeah dumb but it worked) and see if that helps (pretty sure i had to set full screen/window first then the resolution, seems to be a radon thing not a poe thing). Best of luck and hope that helps you :)

Thanks much EmDee1 for the info, however it doesn't help in my case. I tried both ways combinations; first set resolution, then format of display; another round of set format of display, then resolution. Game enforces different resolutions depending on whether it is Windowed, Fullscreen or Windowed Fullscreen, however once I save options and restart the game it comes as windowed mode (on top of which it doesn't even create a taskbar button, just it runs in the background). I've tested it on two comps, two different graphic cards, and I honestly doubt it's on my side. Annoying part of it is that INI file seems to be ok:

"

adapter_name=NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
antialias_mode=2
borderless_windowed_fullscreen=true
fullscreen=false
post_processing=true
resolution_height=1024
resolution_width=1280

I have the same issue as the original post. This thread came up in a Google search, so, uhh, yeah.

My monitor's native resolution is 1280x1024. The game doesn't save that or properly detect that or something between starts for Windowed Fullscreen (but surprisingly it does for Fullscreen), so I have to switch to Fullscreen, change the resolution from 1280x960 to 1280x1024, then change back to Windowed Fullscreen.

Sad panda :'(
Same problem here - also with a 1280*1024 (native resolution) TFT.
It's probably not related to ATI cards, as I'm using an Intel graphics chip (integrated in i5 processor).

I'm on Win7 64bit, if that's of any concern.

EDIT: Lol, just attempted to do the workaround described by some (switching to windowed/fullscreen, changing resolution from 1280*960 to 1280*1024 and going back to windowed fullscreen) but instead of "accept changes" accidentally clicked on "revert changes" and ended up with what I wanted to have: Windowed fullscreen in 1280*1024. :D
Crit happens.

Bump yet again
I know this thread is old, but as I have had this problem for quite a while (basically until 2 weeks ago), I wanted to post my kind of "solution" to it:
Previously I had a Fujitsu Siemens P19-2 monitor and I always had to reset the window size by the aforementioned method.
As that monitor ceased to function I got a new one for Christmas and: My problem is gone - no more resizing the fullscreen-window!

So I believe that the problem is somehow related to monitor drivers or to the monitor itself. Which might be the reason there was no answer from GGG as they probably couldn't even reproduce the issue.

So to all who still have the issue: You might want to try a different monitor (if one is available).
Crit happens.
