Every league is a mess on release, and the players have to tell GGG what to fix. It’s funny because for as much as standard league gets badmouthed, they actually have a polished product thanks to all the free beta testers in event leagues.

And personal preference is always playing a role as well. I forever think harbinger was the best league, myself.

There's a difference between "Not perfect on day one," and "Tripping over it's own feet right out of the gate and smashing it's face on the pavement." Every league is trying to be bigger and more bloated than the last, and GGG is just not competent enough to maintain any kind of quality for content of that scale. The fact that Syndicate interventions are causing the game to freeze for like 15 seconds on average is shameful and unacceptable, and should have been hotfixed to disable them with all hands on deck to fix it. And that's something that worked last league, nevermind new shit that boggles the mind.

On top of that, the league mechanic itself, the actual synthesis, requires a goddam Master's degree worth of study to comprehend. Too much complexity, too much bloat, too little quality control, nobody knows where this ship is headed or if anyone is even at the wheel, it feels like it's just a platform for selling lootcrates at this point.
