I have no idea why this worked, but it did for me. It's worth a shot everywhere else.

For NVidia Driver users, right click on the desktop to open the nVidia Control Panel. Then, head to the "set up multiple displays" section, as shown below.

Select the display you want to display the game on and confirm your settings. Hit apply and try to run the game again. On my end it must have not been properly reading the display it was suppose to project to, hence the DISPLAY1 error.

For those without multiple monitors, grab the small display of your monitor in the grey box and try to pull it with your mouse (click and drag). It won't do anything, but it is the only way I found to bring up the "apply" option when you only have a single monitor.

I'm running a laptop, I have an intel integrated gfx card, and a dedicated Nvidia card. When I open up Nvidia control panel, I dont get the Display submenu. I don't know how to force POE to use my Nvidia card instead of my integrated card :S

THANK YOU ANFSCD!!!

I can't believe that worked, but it did!
This is not working for me.. I can see POE in task manager but i do not even have second screen/monitor and this adjustment did nothing to show up game.

I do not have game in task bar as well. .
hey, on my laptop i press "fn" (one key, not the 2 seperate letters ^^) + "f4"
if i want to switch to another monitor.

another monitor switching option is to press "windows key" + "p"

yet another would be "Windows key + Shift + Left key (or right key)",
i dont know if this works for laps too.

this is all about monitor switching, not about your graphics cards,
but this is what worked for me.

i think the problem we have/had is only a window that disappeared to another monitor where we dont see it, because there isnt another monitor ^^

someone here https://superuser.com/questions/1132802/windows-10-how-to-move-window-to-other-monitor-by-using-keyboard-shortcuts had a similar problem.

again, i am no technician, just ideas i would have tried for myself,
on my own risk.

good luck 8 )
