Tried to start game via Client, wont even launch
I've been able to play via steam over the past few leagues, but ever since dx9 support was removed I can't run the game through steam anymore. I downloaded the standalone client to see if there'd be any difference, sadly same issue.
These are the last few lines from the Client.txt file 2019/03/09 11:00:48 612625 13f [WARN Client 6048] Output for adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M of \\.\DISPLAY1 has no display modes. So I did some digging, someone suggested disabling integrated gfx card via device manager. Upon doing that, I managed to launch the game via client, but I get a black screen and a series of error messages starting with
invalid Vector<T> subscript, followed by hundreds of other errors. |

Hi, very similar problem for me. Game ran fine before the update. Since then, once the Steam "Preparing to launch PoE..." window goes away, nothing happens. Task Manager shows the program is running, but nothing happens on screen.
I tried verifying integrity of local files. No problems found. My client log ends with... 2019/03/09 12:20:28 1610187 8c [INFO Client 1888] Enumerated adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2019/03/09 12:20:28 1610296 24d [INFO Client 1888] Enumerated device for adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti. Seems the game isn't recognizing our graphics cards. I'm hoping they're looking into this problem. I had no problem running this game since before Perandus League, and now with this update I can't even launch the game. All my other steam games work fine, I run Dota 2 on dx11 at max settings without a hiccup.

Bumping for relevance. Experiencing same bug:
2019/03/09 22:25:33 1092961343 13f [WARN Client 3336] Output for adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB of \\.\DISPLAY1 has no display modes. Skipping. Message repeats in Client.txt ad infinitum until game is force closed through task manager. Bug exists in both Standalone and Steam launcher clients. Multiple reinstalls and cleanups have not helped. Originally was using DirectX9 due to other disconnect issues while jumping between maps. |

I have no idea why this worked, but it did for me. It's worth a shot everywhere else.
For NVidia Driver users, right click on the desktop to open the nVidia Control Panel. Then, head to the "set up multiple displays" section, as shown below. ![]() Select the display you want to display the game on and confirm your settings. Hit apply and try to run the game again. On my end it must have not been properly reading the display it was suppose to project to, hence the DISPLAY1 error. For those without multiple monitors, grab the small display of your monitor in the grey box and try to pull it with your mouse (click and drag). It won't do anything, but it is the only way I found to bring up the "apply" option when you only have a single monitor. |

" thank you so much, finally i entered the game... you made my day 8 ) |

Well Hot damn. It worked!. I guess we just needed a way to force the video card to see the game. thanks. I had tried adjusting settings, never thought to try multiple monitors.
