Problem with FOV in any resolution.........

I'm running at 1920x1280 and have a very close FOV and huge UI. The current FOV makes planning a battle very difficult because I have no idea how many enemies I'm up against since I can only see a few metres around my character. Zoomable FOV (C&C) would be fantastic.

I really don't like the health and mana globes, they are just taking up space. Being on opposite sides of the screen also means my attention is divided. Two horizontal bars in the middle, or on one side with all the remaining icons on the other side would work well.
