Problem with FOV in any resolution.........

Never had many problems myself and the computer I played on is a fairly low end gaming PC.

This is what mine looks like set to full screen at 1920x1200. The FoV is zoomed in too close, and the UI is huge.
Yeah my FOV was nothing like MythzFreeze's. It looked more like und3adly's. Granted, my lappy screen (17") is capped at 1600X900.

I wish I'd taken a screenshot during the weekend. At any rate, I guess a way to help GGG work this out would be for people to post screenies, and list their hardware and resolutions.

I had a similar problem. Hoping there's a fix?
my initial impressions was that the zoom was too close, but to be honest i got used to it after a few hours, even using a ranger that you'd want long view distance with.

this is @ 2560x1440

maybe just a little bit of customisation +/- 10% would be useful
Mines always been like that so I never knew the difference, I would love to have it zoomed out more and smaller UI
It's looking like MythFreezes screenshots are the exception not the rule. It would be good to get two comparison screenshots of the same location to see exactly what's visible and what's missing.

If you're still reading this thread MythFreeze is that screenshot just outside the town at the start of act 2? If it is I can post one of the same location which shows about half as much visible area on my screen.
FoV ofcourse changes a little with the resolution.
I play Mechwarrior Living Legends a LOT (Crysis Wars mod) and you can't change the FoV in Crysis Wars.
What I did, was create a custom resolution in my nVidia driver center thingy, set it at 1900x900. The game won't add any movie-like black bars around the game, and it of course will not stretch the view either. That would be just silly. So I got increased FoV that way. I did the same with Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Now, in Path of Exile, you can drag the game window's borders as you wish. It is not a permanent solution, but you can get increased x-fov with widescreen resolutions. And increased y-fov with high and narrow, e-booky resolutions.
It's sort of a... window.. you use to peer through into the game world.
The zoom level is WAY to high. Even in Diablo 2 @800x600 I feel much more space. Here in PoE I felt like playing on some old small 15" CRT (while in fact playing on big 24" 1920x1200 LCD) - you have a feeling of a small frame with view on a very limited area.

just to get everyone on the same page, the FOV vertically is the same for all views and resolutions. depending on the width and aspect of your display you will have variable horizontal FOV

to confirm this and since everyone compares their screens to MythFreez's ones we can fit other screenshots to the dimensions of the "zoomed out" one. so to clarify each of these screens has an identical vertical size.

if you overlay these images you can see the same zoom level is in each of them. ie. the character (all of which are rangers which is important) are the same size on screen. mythfreese's simply appears more zoomed out as his display is wider.

here's a zoomed slice of these images lined up to show the character is identically sized in each screen.

note: theres another thread about this FOV thing over here http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/24243 saying much of the same stuff.
