I could be wrong but im pretty sure that the dodge that you get from Acrobatics is a different roll from evasion when an enemy hits you.
So in turn you get 2 chances to dodge a attack. "There's a legend on the internet that if you stay a virgin until your 30, you become a wizard."

Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything: A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones. Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings. What am i? |

this is true.. but even with it evasion builds are under performing.

30% vs attacks and 20% vs spells, I think thats not too bad.
20% spell dodge is like increasing all resist from 75% to 80% And 30% attack dodge means that your EHP gets increased by 43% versus all attacks. |

I consider it to be a must for (pure) evasion builds.
Of course, if you intended to go with a mixed armour type it'd be rather bad. I do consider evasion to be superior to armour (Entropy system vs Diminishing returns); and I love my mobility-based Shield/Evasion/Acrobatics/Life melee builds... They're very fun and never tend to have issues with survival; only damage. I will say, Acrobatics and Phase Acrobatics taken early feel very liberating gear-wise, as a large portion of your defense is in place. |

It has the same problem as any other evasion build: getting 1 shotted.

" exactly.. and being forced to move into the center of the action for any chance of getting your loot = one shot deaths common in high level areas.. because evasion doesnt negate any of the huge damage.. it just gives you a better chance of not getting hit.. you still have no idea when the hit will come and when they do you are dead. |

" This is assuming you are able to tank repeated attacks long enough for evasion to even out the damage. Let us say that you have 30% evasion against attack [x] and an armor value that reduces the amount of damage taken by attack [x] by 30%. Armor: Attack 1 --> -30% damage Attack 2 --> -30% damage Attack 3 --> -30% damage Total: 30% damage reduced Evasion: Attack 1 --> no dodge Attack 2 --> no dodge Attack 3 --> no dodge Total: 0% damage reduced Even though in theory your EHP is the same in practice that may not be the case. You may as well dodge one attack to get a 33% damage reduction or dodge two attacks and get 66% damage reduction. Not only this but really high damaging attacks may oneshot you, and while also being very effective against armor (because the higher the damage the less damage reduction you get from armor), an armor-based character may be able to always survive a really strong attack whereas you can't with only evasion. Evasion may even be better vs. really strong attacks on paper, but if you can always survive an attack with 5% armor reduction from armor that's usually better than having 20% evasion for example, because it's never dying from that strong attack vs. dying 4 out of 5 times vs that strong attack. Beyond league.

It is bad for points invested. For it to be cost effective it needs that whole cluster to cost 3 points tops and maybe even give 10% max hp bonus as well
