advice for low life build (35% of max)?
Ya this would be a MASSIVE BUFF
Putting points into both hp and es nodes is counterproductive and inefficent in many ways, but necessary because of chaos damage. With this chest you basically sacrifice 400es from a godly rare chest and gain ~ 100 rare item quantity, and around 150 spell damage and free bloodmagic auras |

So, if I pay enough I can actually bring up any uniques I want?
That's nice. Maybe I'll do that sometime and design some unique pet, that would mule for me. Or some mace with constant stun and +100 AOE. Or some ring with life+mana leach and added chaos dmg. What, balance, you say? Fuck balance. It'll only increase builds variety! Put on your red shoes and dance the blues.

First of all you only get to put ideas on the table as to what your unique will be, and second the team is control of balancing the item ( you have no say in it period).
If ggg didn't think shavronne's wrappings were balanced they wouldn't have released them and besides that it's a unique and a high level one at that, its not like everyone is going to be running around with this armor tomorrow. |

Seriously, the new unique is not OP, it is a 'build enabler' it is impossible to make a low-life build without it, much the same way that you can't make an unarmed build with Facebreakers.
The armor isn't that great otherwise, and defensively, you are worse off then with CI. Chaos damage will rip through your shield. Now, if the low-life build itself ends up being overpowered, than some changes will have to be made to low life skills, not to this armor. Bullshit, you get the game for free.

The armor looks fine.
It has a low base ES compared to endgame items, so not only do you have low ES in total, low life you also take full chaos damage still. CI with a high ES armor is clearly superior in terms of survival, this one just opens up the low life gear. |

Low life builds are possible without the armor. They're not easy, and that's the point. The low life effects are VERY strong, precisely BECAUSE it is difficult to run a low life build. That armor makes it too easy. It might have a bit less energy shield than other chests, but it in no way gimps your set. If you get the highest possible ES you can get in the chest slot, you get what, 10% more net energy shield overall?
No, Shavronne's Wrappings is overpowered. I'm not surprised GGG didn't realize it was overpowered. It's easy to look at it and think to oneself "oh, they're still taking the chaos damage" without considering the ramifications it'll have on people who specifically designed their character and set around taking advantage of that very trait. It wouldn't be overpowered on someone who wasn't doing a low life build, but it also wouldn't be hardly a step from there to go to a low life build, now would it? |

" You could not be more wrong even if you tried. Low life effects are powerful (notably, Redbeak and Pain attunement. 100% rarity is debatable). Chaos damage is their counter. So there are now two trade-offs for them: - You avoid areas with chaos damage (luckily, areas worth farming, like docks, don't have chaos damage). If you do maps, do them with a friend. - Find this armor. You probably won't find it, though. So instead, pay about 20-30 exalts. Unless you also spend an unspeakable amount of currency to 6L, you could be giving up your already 5-6L armor. Both are exceptional situations, and both will guarantee low-life builds are rare and extremely niche. |

Lowlife builds have gotten the short end of the stick for over a year.
Shavronne's Wrappings is a gift from the gods. |
