PLEASE PUT BETRAYAL TO CORE GAME !!!
" Jun is going to be her own Master much like Alva,Einhar,Niko & Zana are currently along with the Master Rework and Helena is also implied to also be a new master in development along with Jun. So you can somewhat avoid doing Syndicate Encounters next league. The playstyle GGG seem to be pushing nowadays is highly mobile builds or some variation of being able to throw enough DPS when you do stop moving. The Exploding Relics are usually noticeable enough if you're not spamming Yellow/Orange-hue'd Enemies Sadly I feel this is just how PoE is nowadays. Be a slave to the meta/new skills or play the game harder and force yourself on older antiquated skills. All the new content they added or reintroduced this league still needs some more fine-tuning that I can agree. And its also clear GGG have been pushing forward a specific audience and group. More so recently with the new updates/announcements they've been rolling. Just another Forum Signature in a Sea of Signatures.

" Don't know what you're implying here, but hopefully they do not only cater to their 1% hardcore streamer fanbase meta cause they will lose a great deal of money if they do so... Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts.
Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic... |

I didn't play Harbinger league and have been wondering why people call it "Garbinger". If it's for the same reasons why people hate Betrayal (terrible players with terrible builds), it all makes so much more sense.

Harbinger was heavly hard focused on huge damage spikes and big packs of monsters. If you did not have enough DPS / AoE and good mitigation / placement, you were wrecked. This is why some call it Garbinger.
Personnaly, i liked this league, i like encountering Harbingers in maps, but at that time i was still learning PoE's mechanics and it was a little rough for me. " I'm no hardcore streamer, probably closer to just a casual player. Still haven't killed Shaper yet and I've only gotten to kill Red Elder twice so far. In terms of what I mean we've gotten mainly new skills that or reworks that push a specific meta now. Static Strike was reworked to be a "attack-based" blade vortex. Consecrated Path is Flicker Strike qirh built-in AoE and alao procced Consecrated Ground Last League. With Betrayal we got Winter Orb along with the Brands which let you deal damage while you were moving around with the main risk just to hug bosses to cast Brand Recall. When I played Harbinger really the only drawback was picking up the shards of currency. It added Annul Orbs which was a popular Crafting Orb now akin to Exalt Slamming. And the orb currently I'm not remembering which rerolled your maps to a same tier (usually of one you didn't unloxk yet) or it turned into a Harbinger Map which was a big boost to completing Atlas Progress. The main criticism back then was the Challenge Crown which looked top simple. Just another Forum Signature in a Sea of Signatures.

"It was called Garbinger because the encounters weren't that exciting and having to pick up currency shards felt like a slap to the face for players that got to experience being how rewarding Legacy league was just prior before. It didn't help that 3.0 made huge mechanical changes that destroyed a lot of builds on top of other nerfs that happened that slowed down the game (you know, the very clear speed nerf you see people keep demanding to fix the game and it turns out people don't like clear speed nerfs in practice). I didn't play Bestiary, but it must have been absolutely horrible to manage to make everyone forget how poorly Harbinger and 3.0 were received. |

" hmm alright i was wrong about rewards, just being salty. oneshots are still a thing you cant just scrap off "character builds". this is just stupid |

Why all the Betrayal hate anyway? I thought Abyss was one stupid ass league and, of course, they added it to the core in their usual fashion, but you didn't see me complaining about it.
Not sure what the problem is with Betrayal at all. It is a good league. Like any of the league mechanics it gets old after awhile, but that is PoE in leagues. Censored.

" I haven't played it myself but from what I've been gathering on comments, there is another needless micromanagement of things on top of every goddamn micromanagement PoE already has, if player is to pursue encounters/rewards that make sense. Like another player commented before, I like killing mobs and looting stuff. I don't want to constantly think which map or area I need to clear next to play the game. There's already too much of it: elder influence, Alva incursions, strongholds, sextanting, map management, interrogations, checking external sites for the right choices. All the stuff is away from just going in and killing stuff. Too many timers, also. Last edited by vmt80#6169 on Feb 3, 2019, 2:17:16 PM

" I love the generalization lol. ''The fact that it makes casuals mad about how hard it is makes it the 2nd best league after bestiary.'' Actually casuals are perfectly fine with it, because casuals play meta and just pick w/e is the strongest. Casuals will rush to play Juggernaut/ES ci elementalist this league because they know it works and it is strong enough. |
