How do you sustain Red Maps? What am I doing wrong?

I have a couple good toons this league and have killed the Phoenix so I am getting pretty good at maps.
However, I now realize what people are saying when they say "what do you want to do in POE?"
I wanted to get to gaurdians, I started delving and running all my T10 maps.
That yielded a lot of red maps which I vaaled and died a lot. I also run the Temporal chains corrupted because I figure if I can do it to the monsters, I can still beat them when it's done to me. It's slow and painful, but it gets me more maps.
Now I have decided I want to play the league, and kill Catarina.
So I did, I stopped modding T10s because I had like 50 of them and just started throwing them in the map device and going.
This did multiple things, allows me to build some currency, makes the syndicate less assholy, gives me red maps, and I killed Catarina lv75 in 4 deaths first try. I am also better able to learn boss fights. You won't learn much on a triple damage boss with 45% speed bonus, cept how to die faster.
So sometimes when we are not ready for endgame but need to practice it, the best advice is stop listening to the ones who tell you, chisel, alch, vaal and sextant. Go experience the content, and then you'll know how to beat it when it's 3, 4, or 5 times harder.
If an unmodded T13 isn't eeeeeaaaaaaassssyyyy work on your build.
Most of my T10 runs yield T11s and then when I have a stack of them, I run them for T12's and so on.
I suck and I am inefficient, lately I can only get game time for 2-3 maps which take me 30-45min because I am still learning and this game fascinates me. I have also decided level 92 is end game viable so I am over the death penalty. Now that I have defeated syndicate, I will return to what I love.
Parking IS at research and chisel, alch, vaal reds to get the rest of the gaurdians, with AS MUCH DELVE as I can afford! I am just experimenting with shaper/elder influence so I still have tons to learn.

Good Luck,
I will wear your ghost and you will die twice, against me and for me.
That is some cold blooded shit to say...
I have tons of flasks, an entire stash tab worth of them to be exact, I just don't think that I've ever bothered with Curse immunity much.

I was running a "bloodline" + Extra Lightning Damage map this morning, so that is why I'm doubled up on removes bleeding flasks. I went with that one, because of the duration, and figured I could use it and the mana flask (need to get + mana on hit on another gem or two). Bloodline maps anymore just feel like: "You will encounter Corrupted Blood, no matter what, every magic pack, non stop,

Normally, I run with:

Instead of the second Life Flask to remove bleeding. (Will be replaced by Dying Sun)

I generally use this instead of the Lightning Flask.

All you need. Can replace suphur/stibnite with dying sun if you have to have uniq one.
Why would you tell me about full stash of flasks? What difference does it make? You need to ROLL them properly. Haven't bothered with curse removal? Why?
Your divine flask gives you less life recovery than your regen. Life flasks HAVE TO be instant, seething or bubbling. For 3 skill point you could drop you mana flask which would give you much more than 3 skill points. What's the point in increased armor roll of flask? Lions road is horrible for molten strike, why would you want to push enemies away from your damage?

Flasks are so easy to get, give so much yet people use shit like what you linked, i don't get it. And then everybody is crying that syndicate is op, hilarious :D Sorry for off topic, i'm triggered

I have curse removal (of Warding) always on Stibnite flask. It has long duration and can be used 3 times (4 times when rolling it with reduced charges used). I often roll it to get +20 maximum charges, which would mean I can use it 5 times. Such flask means I do not care whether map has Vulnerability, Elemental Weakness, Temporal Chains or other curses since my character will be 100% of the time under its effect and will not be impacted by those curses.

This means I run any maps with curses and do not have to reroll them.

I currently use Quicksilver of Adrenaline but normally I have freeze & chill immunity on it.

I've found that it always seems like you hit a small hump around acquiring low tier yellow maps (t6-t7) and low tier red maps(t11-t12) when you just break into those map tiers. Just how it is.

I was going to tell you to just buy some maps to make a push to build a pool but it looks like you are playing standard and the map economy is just ridiculous there and panders to absolute convenience. That said, it looks like it makes for some decent opportunity. T11 shaped maps are 6c (??) so I would take advantage of this if you are open to trading.

Personally I think the newly tiered T13 maps are in a good spot and feel really good right now. They also happen to be the same price on standard as good shaped t10/t11 layouts somehow. Exploit this. Setup your atlas (doesn't have to be exclusively) for Shaped UGS (t10), Shaped Haunted Mansion (t11) and Shaped Toxic Sewers (t12). Burial Chambers is also t11 now and will sell.

You should be able to map at a profit by doing this (without factoring in drops) and build a decent +tier pool by simply running T13 maps and selling your -1 and -2 shaped drops at the same price as T13s. Don't touch T14+ yet and just keep plowing back the profits from shaped map sales into more T13 Shrines / Reefs etc. After running 100 T13 maps it would be next to impossible to not have a good sized map pool. I believe you would profit or at worst break even from just selling the shaped map drops.

Getting reduced charges used allows for 4 uses too, but since you need less charges it's faster to refill
I always struggle when just getting to a new tier. Like just starting yellow's I have a hard time building up yellow's, then slowly I get a stock. Same with red. Get to T11, have a couple, do them, get nothing. Back to yellow, get more T11's, then maybe a T12, get another red or two.

To get to the point where you have a handful you can run at anytime:
Chisel everything to 20%, throw an alch on it, try to get it to around at least 80% at that point. You could also vaal orb it, but the result might be hard for your build to run. Also, add atziri sacrifice fragments, these give you +5% (but don't use the upper right one, since it's rare).

Kill the syndicate, because they can drop stuff. Maybe add breach/abyss if you have access to it.

Buy everything from zana to start (though after you get a good supply, her prices are a bit high to continue, unless you are swimming in currency).

Incursion temple can help if you get the map room. Delve is amazing for maps, if you find vaal outposts, that was the biggest contributor for me getting a decent stock. One of the unique maps also drops maps at the end.

Putting Rin in Intervention is also great, because you can get cartography scarabs. RNG can still bite you on those, though. I once did a T16 Minotaur map, vall corrupted, with zana bonus and fragment, it was +138%. I got one map. T6. I was so desperate for my scarab to not be a waste I attempted minotaur who had +100% aoe, + attack/move speed, +107% damage as cold, +90% damage as lightning. Bricked all my portals, RIP getting to 95 (was 94 at the time).

So yeah, do all that and pray.
All that above is what I do for SSF.

Please direct your attention to below linked image:

Reduced flask charges is absolutely fine option but +20 max charges give you 6 more seconds of immunity in a scenario where you can not replenish your flask charges. Bestiary crafting made it a lot more feasible to get best rolled flasks because you just need to get desired prefix on a flask and then finish it with beast-craft, otherwise, I would not really bother with such combination unless it happens randomly.
My bad, keep thinking stibnite and sulphur have the same max/used charges
I always forget how much of a pain getting maps is in a new league and often stall out for a bit in low yellows and reds. Even though it's easier than ever this league with the delve and temple, it can feel like a slog. I often think about quitting the league when I hit that point and usually take a day or 2 off.

As dumb as it sounds the solution is really just run more maps. When you run out of T11s, start running T10s, and then T9s. Sometimes you just hit a string of bad luck but with alch and go you will get back up there. In addition, work on getting your delve down to at least the same level monster as your highest map and try to get a temple with map rooms at the same level.

Additionally, take advantage of Zana, she gives you a free map of each tier for doing the quest and doing her daily will refresh her shop. The 2c and 6c shaping recipes are also really helpful, if you run out of T10s you can always run a shaped T5 for 2c that makes it a T10. And I'm not sure when you get the 6c version but that will raise t6-t10 maps 5 levels to give you more drops.

Lastly, I know it's hard to buy maps in standard but the best way is to buy a big order instead of just 1 or 2. People are more likely to respond to a 50c trade than a 2c trade and might even switch leagues for it. https://poeapp.com/#/currency allows you to search for multiple different maps at once and find a seller who has all of them. So if you want to boost yourself up a tier you can search for all t12s and buy them from 1 person.
