Is there ever a reason to not start with arc trap or brand?

If your goal is to level and gear up a character (that is not a caster) as fast as possible on a fresh league.
Is there a reason to not start off with a arc trapper or brand elementalist to plow through act content and farm primary items and currency? After playing a bow ranger start for many leagues now I have found that it lags further and further behind as content grows in challenge (syndicate is a prime example as well as doing lab at the appropriate level) and the gap between spells and non spells continues to grows now to a point where you are now seriously gimped if you're not using one as your first char. Are there any players who still start off with their main build instead of a arc/bv/brand mule? Plenty I assume. Who am I racing? I'm not a top 10 to 100 or anything. Dont care about money SSF. Even back in trade I dont remember drops being important;)

I dont think you need to necessarily play elementalist or saboteur to level fast, however bows during leveling just suck. And at end game physical bows are ass now. Rare crit harbinger bows are hardly used compared to +3 ele hit bows, Hopeshredders, windrippers, chin-sols, etc.

I'm a little dissapointed in how far behind leveling a bow char is compared to everything else. It was like chewing on nails and for the 1-50 levels of syndicate I could not engage the league at all because the syndicate members were balanced around my dps being on par with arc traps or BV.
My question is more so would I be better off just leveling a caster as my first character to fuel my bow ranger so the leveling process does not feel so soul crushingly bad? " It's not so much about reaching 100 but more so getting to end game quickly and making a decent amount of wealth within the first 1-2 week so you can fuel builds for the rest of the league. You can make decent money through the league these days. People still buy and sell. Hell, you can still clean up pretty well even now.

Lul tried arc mines as the starter this league (never tried it before) that was pretty stupid, they should nerf arc I mean other spells don't hold a candle against it, maybe glacial cascade vs guardians and uber elder.
Checked poe ninja build section, like 70% of playerbase was saboteur in the first week or so I mean GOD DAMN. Second-class poe gamer

After getting hard carried by arc I'm not sure there will be a reason not to use it to level, assuming they don't hardcore nerf the garbage out of it next league
