Inventory Tetris

From my experience so far, its the 1x1 items that are causing the biggest issues in the inventory.

There are quite a few of them as well (scrolls, orbs, fragments etc).

Maybe they should be in a separate bag?

A small bag for all 1x1 items and then the current inventory for all standard items.

Would that help?

As I see it, 1x1 items have always been great ways to help optimise inventory space, not a hindrance. They let you temporarily fill small gaps that you don't have "big" items for, and that can often free up space to fit another big item in. If you remove 1x1 items, you just end up with a whole lot of wasted space under and around things unless you can find something to pick up that's exactly the right size - which without rotation may be impossible.

Personally I've always found rotation a bit fiddly in these inventory systems, but put me down as +1 for auto-sorting.
Yes with the current Inventory being 12 by 5, the 1x1 items are used as fillers.

I guess the only way you would get benefit from a suggestion like mine would be to implement a 2 step change.

You have a separate bag for 1x1 items (Only 1x1 items permitted) say 3x3 (space for 9 items, which should be plenty)

And then you have your inventory, which would need to be 12 x 6

1 bag - 3x3 and you inventory 12x6.

If GGG has implemented the inventory so it can be increased with micro transactions then they could lower the inventory size in regards to length, from 12 to to a start base of 8 so your base inventory size would be 8 x 6.

Along these lines, I'd like Auto Stash, or Stash All

Optional auto-arrange please. I enjoyed Tetris back in the day but I see it as a separate game genre from ARPG.

Some players will enjoy it as a little break, but some won't, and why force it where it may seem out of place?
I think that it would be very time-hungry and after about 50 times it could u make very, very bored :)

I would like the 6x10 inventory. Also I would make the largest item 3x2 cause the 4-tall items some times make my bag full even if I have double the number of squares in my free.
+1 for rotate
+1 for 6x10 (or 6x12!) inventory
A separate bag for small items is not needed imo.
Personally I think that the space is fine so no need to add more slots.

I approve of the rotating... Auto-arrange I would probably never use but I can see how it would be useful.
