When does betrayal league end?

Nope. It is Bestiary that was clearly the worst league. Stupid timing to throw the net (half the time you hit 1 too many times and the beast died first) and if you threw too soon you just enraged the beast which made it all the harder to kill after that. On top of that timing crap you had to carry a bunch of different nets around and make sure you used the appropriate one on that beast. It was the "not too strong, not too weak, but just right" Goldilocks paradox with nets. That was uber tedious crap mechanics so Bestiary is the winner of "Worst League Ever".

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Nah... my "worst ever" was Tempest. Utterly hated what that league did to the game. But I agree that Bestiary comes in a close second.

This league isn't all that bad. You can park it. If you couldn't, it would be something to complain about. It's reward structure needs re-working. It's difficulty needs toning down a bit... about to map boss level. Having content that is more difficult than the map boss is game breaking. Either beef up the core monsters, or tone down the league content. Having a gap there makes it a binary choice: Either skip league to have core work, or skip core to do league content. Neither is good.

Not even close to "worst ever". Any league that gives you the option to ignore isn't "worst". To me, that honor goes to Tempest. That league was an absolute wreck. Couldn't stand to play it. It was inherently flawed by design. Ruined the game. That's a pretty high standard to beat.

I don't particularly like Betrayal's balance, but the concept is fine. They need to tone down the Betrayal encounters or beef up the rest of the game to match them, or a mixture of both. It's the difference in difficulty that is causing the problems... not the difficulty itself.

I loved tempest, it was also the HC league at the time I think the SC version was warband? I did think SC got better content tempest was just like a difficulty modifier on maps.

But the active tempest website made it pretty amazing for farming corrupted gear or ghostbusting radiating tempests which hasn't really been matched for me since.
The more I play this league, the more I like it.

The encounters are definitely still not balanced to let non-meta builds survive in high-tier maps, but once you can cut through everything like butter, you realize that the underlying league mechanic is actually fun.

I'm one of those "ugh lab is so fucking boring, but it's profitable so maybe I should run it sometimes??" people, who spent one league farming the shit out of lab so much that I just wanted to die.

In contrast, betrayal's harbour bridge farming is... actually kind of fun. When you're still building up rivalries, it's exciting every time you get to convert a new person to "trusted" or change that trust to a rivalry. Even after that, balancing people around to optimize your safehouse outcomes can still be neat. I even got to the point that I started properly grinding research stashes for the challenge, not just pure breachstones.

And when you get bored of killing everything trivially, well, now you have sulphite scarabs to run in a rotation to delve more, and pure breachstones to farm for the fastest exp in the game. This league has everything. I wasn't really enamored with it for the first three weeks or so but now that my build is essentially done I've never been more motivated to hit 100.

I freaking LOVE this league. Have there been some hiccoughs along the way? Sure. Is Syndicate the best new mechanic ever? Hell no. But everyone dissing this league seems to be ignoring the fact that this league is so much more than just the syndicate. Liked delve? Cool, you can still do that. Like bestiary and incursion? Check... and check. This league is so much more than just the syndicate, and adds great material from other leagues as well. Hell, it improves on it, or so those of you who played bestiary league tell me. And if that isn't enough to sway you, all y'all naysayers should keep in mind that you are pining for the days of daily Master missions and a Vorici grind that hates you. Hang yer heads in shame!

The worst? How is that? I was thinking this is the best league by far.

As someone who does their best to avoid the utterly miserable disaster of a market, I can have nice things this league. NICE THINGS!!! I have pretty much bee playing since the beginning and this season I get to have a 6L chest! My first 6L chest (that is usable.. I had a few bad corrupt ones that vendored)

I get bored mapping I can delve, get bored with that >Temple, bored with that> syndicate, bored with that> crafting, bored with that> bossing, bored with that> back to maps/atlas. I have no burn out at all going this season. I LOVE this league!
I never count on leveling after 90 so the Syndicate instant death encounters in red maps doesn't much bother me.

Bestiality league was the worst by far. Temple league was bad too. With no AH many leagues are not good. This league though, way less need for an AH.

Also the first league where we get to be the Illuminati. Lets face it, the way we are controlling the syndicate who controls everything else.. we are the Illuminati.

This is the league I wish would never end. Of course if it all goes to Standard that means in the future if there is a bad league standard will be playable for the first time.

And it all started because someone asked a simple question.
Censored.

All you had to do was carry a stack of high level nets, simple as that. Anyone who was carrying around a bunch of nets was on that shit.

All you had to do was get the beast low, throw a net then bash its fucking head in. Yet another simple process that the brainless masses couldn't handle.

All beastiary did was shine a light on just how terrible a lot of the playerbase is. The same people who couldn't handle yellow/red beasts are now crying about getting cornholed by the syndicate and their hilariously telegraphed attacks.

All this outrageous powercreep yet people somehow still manage to find a way to be trashmasters.
Currently being stalked around these forums by some clowns who caught feelings over being called out at being grossly inept at their job.

And this is why Betrayal won't go core. Can't have players ignoring new league faster than usual.
