When does betrayal league end?
Betrayal is a great league, though I wish they didn't nerf the encounters into oblivion.
Delve, Ambush, Breach, and Legacy were all amazing leagues and I don't think Betrayal quite comes up to their standard, but it's far better than shit leagues like Tempest, Torment (lol), Talisman, or Garbinger. Last edited by MangoBaron#0745 on Jan 5, 2019, 2:32:36 PM

I'm enjoying the league personally, I just really wish they would start fixing the bugs, there are so many it's unreal.
- Items getting stuck in terrain - Betrayals outside of maps - Constant latency spikes And so on.. |

Betrayal has been my favorite league thus far. Prior to this league POE was a game id usually jump in HC for a few RIPs then move on.
Betrayal got me out of HC and into SC for the first time in several years. Theres just too much content i wanted to sink my teeth into and POE is legit hard again. Problem is, Syndicate mechanic is the worst aspect of the new league. The return of just about all the old league mechanics was what makes this league so fun. Syndicate mechanic is just too much (every single map) that i just keep it on a lab instance and never run it. The interactions lose their fun quickly as they are mostly meaningless ways to fill a safehouse run bar. Safehouse runs are fun but not worth all the BS that the syndicate map encounters bring. I should be able to befriend many members for buffs or something, like bandits, and then keep several as enemies for the fights. Having 3-4 members facerolling me out of no where itsnt really fun long term, and keeping them all jailed and weak isnt fun either. Rework betrayal, make the choices matter, make the fights matter, make labs more than just a chance to interact (saving items dont offer any research??) Betrayal should be a complex system of friendlies you dont fight that offer buffs and enemies you seek out to fight...rather than meaningless interactions with random appearances and everyone's an enemy. just for try, for see and for know

Wut? Betrayal sucks balls. The rewards are great (quality crafting benches/veiled mods, etc.) but the encounters are very op and unfun. The interrogate system is boring as hell.

I'm really glad to hear I'm not the only one having issues with the Betrayal portion. I'm just trying to level up at the moment by doing low level maps, but then three masters spawn out of nowhere and one shot me. It's not something I enjoy seeing on a map. It's just another thing I have to avoid. I think you should be able to have masters with rivalries actually aid you. Jun does nothing so why even have her there?

"I like this league" "Whaaaaat!? This league sucks balls, you must be dumb for having a different opinion than me!" Like there's some kind of blueprint of what a "fun" league is. I like Betrayal. I like the veiled mods. I like the encounters. I like the fights. I like the progress towards the safehouses. I'm not particularly fond of the Mastermind fight, but it's a nice change that it's actually possible to experience, in contrast to other league(s). It's not perfect. No leagues are. Anyhow, I find Betrayal fun as a league mechanic. A gimmick of some sorts. But I hope it doesn't get added into the core game. I can't see how they would be able to do that seamlessly. As a Zana mod? Sure. But if it gets added like Breach or Abyss, we'd have a problem. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

It is not best ever league, I had much fun in bestiary too, what others hated. Because of massive changes with masters, it is maybe some don´t like it and for those who play HC, I can understand it is not fun to get murdered by syndicate members.
So when league is done this will go to core game too. I would not need it, but it will get part of the new mastering and crafting. But also must be said, it makes huge difference to play for 3-4 hours a day or streaming whole time what surely will take away the fun after some time. For me as a working class hero it is fine. |
