working as intended.
Because Auction house worked so well in D3....

People complain about gear losing its value Ever since loot drops got more common and more people started to trade.
Now imagine a AH and what it will do. It will also be even more easy for that 1% to control the economy.

Be careful with what you wish for. Chances are it will in the end make the game worse

Ridicoulus how you complain it takes time to get one of the best armors in the game. If you don't wanna buy all those rings, just pay extra and buy the armor.

just don't buy those rings and get them from drops if that saves you time.

so stop for a while and think which behaviour the game should encourage you to do.

This game severely encourages players to trade but places a huge road block on trading so it wont feel good.

In the eyes of many this is a contradiction. In GGG's eyes this is a necessity.

Im all for QoL improvements even if people scream "slippery slope". Its not like there is nothing inbetween the current trading system and a fullblown auction house with bot infested prize sniping going on.
There are 295 Loreweave for sale, why not just buy 1.
~ Please separate the PoE1 and PoE2 forums.
The game would be dead in a month if they added an auction house. They know that. The whole game exists because people want to find items, either to use or to sell. An auction house would simply remove that motive to play and people would stop.

This thread happens about once a month now. It always ends up the same way. Let's cut to the end: No change. Everyone still playing. OP cries in a corner but still plays.

try grinding the rings instead of buying them to get perspective on why GGG don't want to trivialize the trade experience. (Hint: takes a fair bit longer than a day)
Ironically, this thread makes the perfect case against an Auction house from GGG's perspective.

their goal, as far as i understood it, is to have people trade only for the really needed things.

but yes, their stance of having every possible aspect of your itemisation tradeable and no account bound stuff is suggesting it.

trading enforces a decision, either trade alot or play the game alot. they hope most players choose the latter. and it works, kind of.
