I spent a whole day buying Loreweave Elegant Ringmail

They also have statistics, and based on what GGG say about it, most people don't trade. And only a very small minority trade a lot.

People will of course bend that to mean that people don't trade because trading sucks.

But it's also quite possible that people just play the game and use what they find. With the occasional trade here and there. Not like you need 6-links or awesome gear to get through the story and early mapping after all.
What stats? I find it hard to believe that the majority don't trade. I think you're confused and it's the other way around.

their goal, as far as i understood it, is to have people trade only for the really needed things..

LOL. It's impossible to be this naïve. You're better off trading for literally everything, even 6L. Bruh, how do you even play this game lol.

1) i have a view how the game currently is.
2) i have a opinion how the game should be
3) ggg has a view how the game currently is
4) ggg has a vision how the game should be like
5) you have a idea how the game currently is

you can't mix those issues to a cocktail to conclude i'm "naive".

i only talked about point 4)
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Put them on ignore. When it comes to lorreweave the rings are not pricefixed they are just sold. Early if u put up auf ring at 2c u get spammed.
I actually despise loreweave conceptually.

The item itself? Pretty decent and a really nice option for a lot of builds.
The recipe in theory? An awesome use for the rings you drop and don't want.

The impact on the economy when all you want is a goddamn levelling ring? Actually catastrophic.

When a single item means I have to buy an entire extra guild stash tab that only officers can access literally just for rings, fml.

I will honestly be happy when loreweave is nerfed next league, not because I dislike it as an item but purely because it causes me such a logistical headache within my guild.

(Yes I realise this is all QQ, sue me)
Souls along a conduit of blood, from one vessel to the next.
To punish price fixing auction house is the only option (in my opinion)

But that would make trade too easy as GGG said. So, lets make auction house online only. If both of u are online then trade is automatic, if not - sorry, u need to wait until he/she/it/attack helicopter is in game.

Because Auction house worked so well in D3....

People complain about gear losing its value Ever since loot drops got more common and more people started to trade.
Now imagine a AH and what it will do. It will also be even more easy for that 1% to control the economy.

Be careful with what you wish for. Chances are it will in the end make the game worse

Ridicoulus how you complain it takes time to get one of the best armors in the game. If you don't wanna buy all those rings, just pay extra and buy the armor.
The tradepost in Guild wars 2 works like a charm.

YOu think AH would stop price fixing? Are you insane? It makes it easier.

I was cornering with 2 friends the AH of my WOW sever constantly on certain herbs. We bought them all constantly and dictated the price.

Immagine what the people with 80k chaos could do in an AH system. Not to mention the people in standard who have amassed insane amounts of currency.

There will never be an AH.

Did you just make this all up as you went?

Its actually in the Trade Manifesto straight from GGG. Most players never trade, some trade only rarely and a tiny minority trade a lot.

None of these people who complain about tradeing ever cared to read the actual "trade manifesto". They would not be making these stupid ass threads every 2 weeks.
