Currency auto pick-up

Anything auto can make a difference between you and people that dont use that auto is game breaking.
Currency has value because you spend time either to pick it up or to decide not to pick it up.
If you remove the desicion part currency becomes meaningless.
Something that takes space in your stash.
After this update people will ask for auto stashing.
And it never ends.
So make your desicions and pick up your loot smarter.
Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!

there is a small difference if i have to run a separate program to simulate the client, simulate input to the client with a separate program or just can start autohotkey with no additional software to hover clean a instance i fast cleared and quit after a timeout.

the latter is undetectable. if autohover is implemented they will ban autoIT, autohotkey and all other scripting software on the market, the collateral damage would be immense.

They can do the thing, if you are picking up one item (currency too), all items of the same types are being automatically picked up (like in D3). And maybe if you pick up rare gear, all rares are picked until you have full inventory.

I dont think that auto-pickup gear is relevant in PoE. Not with that tiny inventory size and unidentified item drops. Maybe, auto-pickup for jewelry (jewels, rings, amulets, belts), but everything else will just fill your inventory too quickly...
But currency is another thing. It's kinda compact and has relatively high value (well, except for scrolls). Since GGG push "clearspeed meta" for PoE (move & kill at ultra-fast speeds to get decent loot), auto-pickup for currency is a natural addition to "clearspeed meta" - players wont waste their precius time to pick up loot, instead focusing on oneshotting enemies, as intended by game.

Nope, currency has value because it can be used to gain certain benefits in the game (pay for Zana mods on maps, roll for great rares, get 6-links, refund skill points, etc.).

auto loot is a bit much.

pick up all currency within (5 ish) radius click of mouse would be nice though.
It would cause some inflation , but it will also save my wrist from trying to move a mm on a 55 inch screen.

i believe they did something like this for consoles.

It get suggested every month, or even week.
But GGG think that auto=pickup will attract bots and game will be flloded with them (lol, as if now game isnt flooded by bots, and they absolutely dont care that there is no auto-pickup).


If bots can pick up the currency, it's auto pickup. No human interaction is involved at all. I don't get GGG's logic behind this, especially when pets in the Chinese version of the game already pick stuff up
In a game that got insanely fast farming already, adding autoloot in any form would make it even worse.

Id would guess that it would probably shave 30-50% of the time it takes to do a map.

Why no?

If game is all about insanely fast farming, then auto-pickup is a natural gemaplay advancement. When player is forced to spend 30-50% of his farming time just to click on loot and pick up it, there is something seriously wrong with game design, you know.
It's same as playing turn-based game with forced slow animations for units, so most of the time player doesnt "think", but merely "waits" for animation to complete.
Or, it's like playing ARPG without waypoints & other teleport tools. Would you like to run all the back into town through several empty areas?


Sure, i dont like "ultra-fast-farming" style of PoE. I'd like to see game pace beng MUCH slower. Then, indeed, auto loot might be not required (if game becames kinda slow, and time spend for clicking on loot wont be decisive).

currency has value depends on rarity and your desicion to pick it up combined.
i know 2 people crashed before picking their mirrors.

about the space.
if u ever traded more than 15k chaos for exalts you would know what inventory space really means in this game.

Nope, your desicion to pick it is determined by currency value, NOT vice versa! Well, assuming you're trying to play efficiently. Trash items dont "magickaly gain value" if you decided to pick them up.

I think, for any sane player, efforts for trading 15k chaos to exalteds is nothing compared to efforts requires to collect that much chaos.
It's like complaining about 1 second delay in logon screen (which happens once in a few hours)...
