Tooltips suck, should be easy fix, why are they so misleading?
We don't need DPS on the tooltip at all. It's not necessary.

" GGG says "DPS on tooltip? We ain't got no DPS on tooltip. We don't need no DPS on tooltip. We don't have to show you no stinkin' DPS on tooltip!" Edit: This is in line with their "Orb of Confusion" on the list of October 31st PoE 3.5 meeting discussion points. In the same sense that "we don't need to document skills & supports combos. Same goes for recipes. GGG is ok with treating us like mushrooms. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. " It is called Wraeclast. You may have heard from it. It's that place where there's about 150 conditional modifiers to your skills. Good luck putting that in a tooltip. I'de love to see what you can come up with since you seem to think it's easy to do. |

Not really that hard. Obviously you can't input mob resistance. Answered you in first post, forum troll.
Molten Strike Melee hit: XXXX dps. Increased be weapon damage, melee damage, physical damage, attack damage 7 molten balls per hit: YYYY dps per ball hitting target. Increased by aoe, projectile damage, weapon damage, physical damage, attack damage. No one is expecting the impossible but you have to be pretty slow to say that because perfect tooltips are impossible that no improvements can be made. Really, thats really your argument? Perfect accounting for all variables is impossible so no improvements can be made. Idiots. " |
