The best Bow-Duelist build
Updated
______________________________ BTW FOOTSTAB AND RUMSEY : you asked why blood magic bla bla why hp and not mp?it has better flask support,VOLL armor cuts your max mana in half ( not that you will have lots of mana on a bow-duelist) et cetera.Logic duuh? ____________________________________________________ Re-made the duelist builds since they screwd the old ones up with new codes :( http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAQQBiSoc2_5ox9qvLwB0HV7NnZ0wITomwPOJsEvyZSd5pA2RIv9UMS0iNLcICwlp28I1pPABdZmR8WBJ3JkQdL-LqfwbvppD_nJtNuD40EJM1rwUFSRXhn0psoTXHBLjhsAntPZV4bnlP71CjDFZfCxXerei0Grz81ZuQKMa1BntnoCW_W-2QiVZC8c_0KQZs3eZSRoXf6kKfzyXnMOJMxmFwgPF4GsWsGJ3RbVQ-XPvG9yp7pldM_37H7eOw0HMO78lVlEzc4p_X1DHFEsDWaWepFBxIGLb_fX-DpV0fldv3D5vjY0zdigTz32eFia4pCVdxEMQyV1HdkcSaA_H2RJiDeWy35q4q73sqf7n0Owqqq8VhfBlncKMlzOBRLYUUvkI-PsgyJiq2n_eoK9NpJhN4tEssafNqGFvfVr3TFykHEKZeKIJY4oXz_GHVgWreHEcAdeaTiUhCTeMKoh2DfBgBZY6prTgwRcga4v4QM38BTL3IyC5cuhoeRfvGN7M-ZFIL9VPYgWqm1XgS2y2Jrf_B7svofH2fUgDUYdNyulP78C7l_eJbY9M7b-9hgJM_zXZ1isPuMJA9aIPEh-b This is one way to aim it. OPTIONAL : since a friend told me you don't need evasion a lot ! as a bow-wielding duelist/archer :) you can remove Iron Reflexes and add Acrobatics, you can also add Dead Eye keystone, you can remove Berserking if you want (near the start) you can add more frenzy charges, and as i said there are quite a lot of points to reach Blood Thirst but it's worth it ;).Oh and that 7 % Movespeed node you can get the 7 % attack speed in the right side of it to reach BloodMagic&IronGrip but wouldn't suggest, you will have enough attack speed. If you use iron reflexes too,and a VOLL Armour for permanently having 2 power charges...you will pretty much always knock enemies back with King Of The Hill and if you use Heart Pierce you can make them move like that and get more damage, cool a? Hope you all like the builds me and my friend invented _______________________________________________ X (old build link..but they screwed the forum's linked trees with the new update so read upper ! ) When going up towards Blood Magic and Iron Grip you can decide if you let the movespeed % bonus or change those points into the right side path for 7 % attack speed in total instead of 7 % movespeed Feel free to take all the points taken north for the Bloodthirst and add one or two or even all these three : Berserking ( right near the start) ,Armour Master (the one that removes the 8%movement penalty for heavy armors) and Deadeye (some dex and accuracy bonus,it's nice, only add this one and not the other two near ) than the leftovers add for some more frenzy charges. Edit: That part to get 7 % movespeed or 7 % attack speed i say you can get quite enough attack speed and the 7 % bonus movespeed can help at kiting,no matter what good %movespeed boots you have Last edited by andreyghost#7473 on Mar 25, 2012, 10:20:02 AM

No corrections?Well than i guess this really is the best bow-duelist build
It is very epic for a ranger too,the ranger is closer to those keystones for the bows in her side of the tree, but farther from the ones near duelist, and the duelist vice-versa (Latin phrase that means "the other way around") So practically the build is the best bow build for both ranger and duelist The only difference in using it is that the ranger starts with a lot of dex and low str and int,i think 30 dex 14 str 14 int,and if you plan on taking iron grip and blood magic fast as i do than you should use the duelist, well it depends both are very good at it. Nice I like it! I was wondering where to go after the SE directional arrow skills. How is the gameplay with this setup? Is there any reason to try to hybrid say dual wielding with bows or is best to just focus on one weapon type across the board?

Well i wouldn't suggest you go to chaos taking daggers when you have bow passives ...i guess?:D

Heh i made this build and my friend posted it since i had a restriction.
I further improve it by adding that new skill what was the name ... Puncture wound/Puncture shot/strike? That with multiple projectiles and if they will add knockback support gems too plus that passive that gives a knockback on criticals King Of The Hill ....you can use Puncture Wound with multi proj and chance to stun i think?and increased critical chance, damage, you figure it out.. The trick is to make the enemies move from knockback and take even more damage from Puncture :D cool thingy a? |

I am seriously Rerolling this build seeing as my 60 ranger who just made it to Chaos feels like a wet noodle.
My only question is blood magic.. does it convert current mana to HP? IE: A ring with +50 mana. Will it be +50 HP or nothing at all? Making +mana something to avoid. |

Your mana is completely removed from your character, so if i'm not mistaken, +mana will do nothing for your character as it doesnt say anything about converting mana to hp.

And the new surprise - Use Voll ;) ;) ;) + 50 %added crit chance per charge and you have 2 power charges base so + 100 % and you will pretty much perma crit?and knockback :) + you can use split arrow+multiple-projectiles linked or whatever :)
Voll cuts ur mana in half but that won't be a problem since you got blood magic ;) Last edited by andreyghost#7473 on Mar 22, 2012, 7:24:04 PM

" I don't understand why you'd want to use blood magic? I started this build today and got my duelist to lvl 27, here is what I have so far: lvl 27 build. My primary skill is Elemental Hit (lvl 8) + Less Multiple Projectiles (lvl 2). It costs 18 mana per shot which means I'm popping mana pots every 9 shots. Why would you want to use blood magic over mana pots? If I do go in to blood magic with the 305hp I have, then that means I'll kill myself in 16.9 shots, assuming the enemies don't hit me at all! Granted I'm new, I have 4 characers in the lvl 20-28 range and none of them have never used blood magic so maybe I just don't understand it. Why kill yourself when you can just use mana pots? Is it because it makes it easier for people who don't like managing mana pots? I don't see how, because you'd still be spamming HP pots left and right. Also it pretty much limits your ability to use any auras like Anger or Hatred. What am I missing!? Also I think the original build code needs updating, it only uses 50 points and goes off to the far east side of the passive map without ever actually taking any keystones... I'm just kind of guessing where it *might* have been meant to go. Last edited by rumsey#3996 on Mar 22, 2012, 10:37:29 PM
