Auction House

Yes, AH must be here.
Ingame AH, with no fees and not related to the seller's online time. Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313 |

Basically, why i think a auction house should be put in game:
You put a NPC which keeps your items, or an area reserved for people who bought premium. Auction house in game filter for the item you have, scanning other in-game items and showing all prices for identical affix items. Pro: No need to c/p messages to 20 players to obtain 1 map, one cheap item. Same for selling. Average price let you see how others are pricing the same item with pretty identical affix. You have the time to decide. So you are not stressed by people who pressure you to sell your item if you priced it too low because you don't know the game. You can buy something to a disconnected player. Prices are naturally balanced, you choose the price at the end. if you want to sell it cheaper or expensiver then other players. You can not be scammed by players. (sadly this seems to be the only interest for "hardcore gamers" to keep the game as it is (saying it's "proof of in-game experience", this happens to much (players interactions yeah!!)). No more poe trade maccro or website needed. No difference between casuals and hardcore gamers. Selling item for a period, makes you responsible of the price you choose, but you never price too low. Only if you want to sell fast your items. Game more fluent, without using a ton of websites / maccro etc... Con: you can not have the chance to interact with players by sending copy/pasted messages, and quick buying without saying anything... (For true hardcore gamers, i imagine, it will be sad for them to no scam people) So: well an in-game auction house could be just fine. Btw, price balance is naturally stabilize by "how much people pay", cheap items will be sold until items are "medium standard price" for items with same affix. For people who would say: "it makes the game easier" <= Nope ! This is just "utility" founction... this is equal, depending on how fast items will be sold, no possibility to scam players, hardcore gamers and casual have directly an indicated price for the item with the items sold in auction house, they still have the choice. " And here is why it won't be (GGG trade manifesto): https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2025870 GGG confirmed in their latest Q&A that this has not changed. Plus.... HOLY NECRO BATMAN!!! Last edited by Cyzax#3287 on Jun 14, 2019, 4:46:00 AM

" Their stupid manifesto doesnt change the fact, that PoE requires AH. IGN: MortalKombat

" They already have it off-game.. The only reason why they don't incorporate it into the game I can think of is that they expect tons of bugs with it and they think they won't be able to handle it. |

Hello,
the current trading system is only for people who are playing a lot or who are running bots on the side. I for my part am too stingy to get a bot that trades for me and I don't have time to trade either, because I play about 4-8 hours maximum per week and prefer to use this time for playing instead of "trading" I had tried it before but after 30 minutes of playing the flute I have left it until now maybe I will "only" trade currency... The current system unfortunately only favors the above mentioned ones, where probably a part with this system improves its "pocket money", of course These ones scream loudest regarding "contra auction house". Implementing an auction house is easy, a reasonable one harder... The argument of trading and interacting with other players is nonsense, this is stupid working off a system without t4t or similar. I've traded 4 x currency so far and you don't get a response... I would be open for a auction house or of course for an alternative: following 2 examples: 1. make hideouts of players with premium stash tabs, also accessible when they are offline/afk and their stash, so that you can buy these items from there. (would be similar to an AH but more cumbersome) 2. the user has the possibility to open a shop in his hideout and can trade automatically when he is clicked on or a NPC who does it for him. " Correction: PoE doesn't 'require' an AH. That's just your biased opinion, not based on anything like the knowledgeable analysis and conclusions that GGG have provided in their manifesto... Which of.c. means your opinion doesn't actually matter :-) |

" I don't quite think you get why the current trade system is how it is. You should read the trade manifesto that I linked above. Main point: The restricted trading system is there to limit trade to a level that doesn't hurt the game. Thus any suggestions (like yours) that make trade easier is against the objective.
