Texas Server Routing causing high ping?

Letting plots run from a few mins ago until something like 9:10 CST and Ill edit in the results, but its pretty obvious that there is what seems to be over flow instance servers that we're getting pushed to. Or at least something of the nature that have much higher latency and higher instabilities (three deaths on hc to these servers this league alone). Its pretty terrible that GGG doesn't mention this anywhere if thats the case.

They probably won't address this. If I even mention this in game chat, I get flamed by the GGG fanboys.

Not only this, but the issue with CPU heating up is back again. Less so than the initial patch that caused the problem, I believe it was 3.0, but none the less, it's back to some degree as the CPU really takes a hit now. GPU is fine, but the CPU is taking a huge hit and causes excessive buildup of heat after a few mins of game play. Mind you, I'm water cooled, and have no issues with other games or apps.

Before 3.0, I could run this game for hours, GPU would run around 42-45c (1060 GTX air cooled) and the CPU cores would hover around 36-40c (i7 7700 water cooled). Now, the GPU still runs around 45c, sometimes hits 50c+ CPU is running hot when in heavy populated maps, can hit 55c on water cooling.

IDK, I'm putting this game down as of late. This company sold out and is focused on MTXs and leagues. Bottom line is all that matters.

That was me actually, and you didn't get flamed. You were claiming how unstable the Texas gateway was, which I was playing on with zero issues. I told you that you might want to check your connection and all you could do was say:

#<QUID> Piggish: nah, i'm on a 100mb fiber line, everything else runs just fine

Which signifies absolutely nothing...

It's pretty sad you are claiming you were flamed. I genuinely was trying to help you but you didn't seem like you wanted help. You only wanted to rant in global. Btw, I can post the chat log to prove you weren't flamed.

So here you are again just ranting. You've offered no data for anyone to look at, so you'll likely continue having problems.

If you want help you'll need to follow this guide and post the results in your own thread. Or don't, it's up to you.

Either way, good luck!

Another night in Texas and more fun to be had!

What the log in page tells me, awesome can't wait to play.

In reality I get

Running winMTR now at 10s intervals in order to have data they'll look at, but it looks like the ping instantly spikes in between telia and the server communications.

Not sure I can do anything about it, I've emailed my isp twice now and have gotten no response.

Its taken me ~6 months to get to this point with GGG support.

I don't really get it tbh.

I'll edit in the MTR when it hits 60 intervals (or 10 minutes worth of mtr data)

Edit: Just a reminder in case it was missed on the line above this I ran these plots at 10s interval to try and rule out packet deprio

Sorry, just wanted to get this posted before going to sleep so only ran for 400s.

This has all been mailed to GGG, Im not sure if this is enough relevant data for them. I hope so.

Another day, another set of shitty instances.

Set the interval to 5s for this round, DC instance server: 206.190.154.193

Going to let this continue to run, but yeah, packet loss to the source yet again.

Not sure how much data needs to be gathered, or what format the data must be provided to get some form of solid response. But maybe eventually this instance server issue will be addressed.

Who am I kidding, more mtx btw.

Edit: I would also like to point out a winMTR that shows a solid DC server instance in which Im not pushed to overflow servers or idk overload routings?

3 hours to the WDC login servers which results line up with the results from a winmtr from the next DC instance server I got to, which both show deprio for the first two hops in the network layer (DDoS protection).

WinMTR set to 5s intervals again

Please just shut up, you offer nothing but BS. And really? I mattered so much that you save the chat history? LOL, that's just pathetic. Seriously pathetic.

I'm done with this crap game anyway. Whatever they have done since Delve, it's broken.

My water cooled i7 7700 is hitting 70c with this game, the latency issue is terrible. Before Delve, I could play PoE for hours and my cpu would run between 36c and 42c max. I'm not wrecking my PC for this crap game.

Everyone I knew has quit. Only the short term transient noobs who haven't yet discovered the endless cycles of release new skills, sell MTXs for them, then nerf it, rinse and repeat. And of course, the lap dogs who defend the decline of a game no matter what.

No other app or game is doing this BS, just PoE. So save your breath. My ping and line jitter is outstanding from where I live to Dallas. Hell, all over the U.S. for that matter. As I stated before, I'm on a fiber backbone where I live with a DOCS 3.1 cable modem. Never do I experience any problems whatsoever.

People like you offer nothing but "my pc is running fine, so it must be you" crap. If you can't see the complaints on the forums, then you must be blind. I bet you're a democrat too. Complain about this post, get it censored. I bet you will.

There was another patch they botched on that caused many people's CPUs to run hot. It would appear they snuck it in again. Probably some data mining gig for their overlords at 10cents.

For your reference, patch 3.2 and hot CPUs: GGG finally admitted to this and "fixed" it somewhat, but now it's back, just not quite as bad, it builds up over 10-20 mins. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2096256

There is no luck, especially when it comes to coders that change shit and then act like it's all good when people actually complain. Not to worry, the lap dogs come their defense no matter what.

Everyones chat history is saved in a log file in the installation folder...

All it took was a CTRL+F searching for your guild tag to find where you claimed you were flamed. 5 seconds to search, everyone disagreeing with you in a non-aggressive way is not flaming. But whatever.

Trust me, you're not important to me whatsoever.

And as I told you already, having a fiber line does not exclude you from potential packet loss, hence my suggestion to run WinMTR to see if it's on your end or not.

Your connection type doesn't matter at all in regards to routing. You're connecting to routers inside and out of your ISP's network, anywhere in between there can be issues.

I mean, if everyone in chat playing on Tx isn't having issues (which is also in the chat log) then the most logical conclusion is that you're having routing issues. Running WinMTR would help pinpoint where the issue is originating and you'd have data to give to whomever is responsible to fix it. But we'll never know since you refuse to offer any data to go by.

FYI, a lot of the complaints are coming from people suffering from packet loss. I do suspect there are disconnection issues specifically with delve but it doesn't seem to affect standard. This is based on my own personal experience with the league.

Nice ad hominems by the way. I won't report you, it's just more of the same toxic behavior from you though. If you're quitting for good I guess at least that's one less toxic person in g2. :)

Dunno anything about that, I don't have issues with overheating and I play on what most would call a potato with onboard graphics. *shrugs*

There you go again, I'm not defending anyone. I was just trying to help see if your connection was the issue. Nobody here or in the chat was defending GGG.

I'm not going to bother replying to any more of your nonsense. Either run the test or don't, it doesn't matter me either way. Regardless of how you've lashed out at me I wish you luck because in the end all I was doing was trying to help.

Some people just cannot be helped, or flat out refuse it. This is the perfect example of that. :)
