If Delve becomes permanent - should they consider removing sulphite?

I wouldn't remove and I wouldn't make it free sideways. What I would do is 1) tie sulphite cost of a specific delve to the "value" of that area eg currency run expensive, tier 1 azurite cheap. 2) have proper sulphite scaling in maps because farming quarry shouldn't be 10 times more efficient than farming t11 maps.

not entirely remove it imo, I think it needs to be there. But they also need to rework the system so that the content is allowed to deliver a huge amount of endgame hours to people who enjoy it, and not through trade or an even bigger amount of endgame hours spent mining sulphate in other content that they dont want to play.

It would probably be healthy if it ramps up as a league goes along, with quite limited access early and extremely easy access later in the league where gating rewards and access to high level monsters essentially stops mattering.

Make it map available only, make it so the harder maps give more of it, add a bonus for a boss kill, other than that making it available to run for hours on end is a madness, it is way too profitable already.

I like that, have only the map boss drop sulphite.

Make sulphite only in mine (like azurite).


Yes, that would make mine a bit strategic - you should carefully rethink what paths you'll take because you could get stuck by having no sulphite.

It would also force players to snoop around more instead of just going deeper and deeper.



And what if players screw things up and have no sulphite?! It should be tradeable between players (but only for azurite and at some fixed rate).

And if you are able to REALLY SCREW ALL UP by having no azurite and sulphite, than - Really?! You are able to do that?! Then the mine is just not for you.
Make sulphite deposits a lot rarer, but don't remove them. Also make them richer.
However, remove their ability to spawn in certain locations. Chests full of the stuff standing around in the slave pens or Oriath Square make absolutely no sense, much less the versions of the areas after killing Innocence.
In cave areas there should be more of them, perhaps in chests in graves/ temples.
None in the Dreams and the Belly.

I think they need to have boss doors/ boss keys that you can purchase with sulfite. Other wise you should be able to delve freely.

Bosses of course unlock lucrative areas to explore so you'd want to kill those. Of course GGG could balance it so good delving builds would have a hard time killing bosses and good boss killing builds would have a harder time delving tee hee
I've basically already gotten tired of this league because of sulphite. If farming it was made harder I would simply ignore the mechanic. The mines themselves are a lot of fun, but I haven't played more than an hour today because whenever I think of starting up the game I say to myself "I'll have to farm sulphite" and do something else instead.
I think a nice balance would be: 10% to spawn node (like breaches, but since level 1 and not maps only), but it would give you a full bar (whatever your maximum is).

They should remove all the game and just keep Delve.
