Strongest tank in the game 3.4

If you were asked to build the strongest tank build (meaning most durable, never dies, can afk the game, literal juggernaut etc) what would you do in the current patch 3.4 game?

Class
Ascendancy
Defense layers
Main skills

I would like to pursue this build in the game in SSF Delve. Hoping to hear some creative ideas from those that know the defense mechanics better than me.

Darkness stacks... so you can't just sit in it no matter how much regen you have.

Lol :) Yea, I know, but I appreciate the effort. Made me smile.

Overall, I just feel that most of the builds I play are too squishy for me. I really enjoy being nigh immortal in these games. I am honestly looking for a great super tank build that works for 3.4. I'm not asking specifically because of Delve, this is something I have struggled with since I began playing PoE.

I'm asking for the wisdom of greater minds :)

Hi, I'm no PoE expert or anything. Just a casual SSF player on xbox, but I recommend looking at some of the Juggernaut threads under the Marauder section. Might be what you are looking for.

I ran this one in Incursion.

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1965844

The guide is written as an uber lab farmer, but since you're SSF like me you won't run the lab as much since your offerings are limited to what you find. But it does well in maps with found gear. Just stack armor + evasion and roll a good axe or mace when you have enough currency. I started off with Sunder and later changed it Earthquake.
personally, the "tankiest" i've felt when playing any build i've tried, is a raider.
i highly prefer damage avoidance over damage mitigation. you can also get as much mitigation as you want while stacking damage avoidance.

damage avoidance being evasion, dodge, block, spell block, spell dodge. this has significant benefits. you will not be effected by on-hit effects, such as stun, bleed, poison, elemental ailments and the like. you will not take those bunch of hits in a row which is commonly known as being "one-shot" (but isn't actually just one hit). you'll have time to regen, pot, leech your way back up to full life in between hits.

so raider is easily the best for this because of avatar of the chase, which gives you 25% more evasion vs attacks and projectiles.
i like to play a molten strike raider, because molten strike is very powerful. ngamahu's is the ez cheap weapon of choice, but you can do w/e you want (including crit variants).

i know you're SSF, and honestly a weapon doesn't matter, but if you do get a ngamahu's its really beneficial because you can socket support gems for your molten burst, such as combustion (-19% fire res for your molten strike), blind, maim, culling, etc.

anyway the build is essentially go molten strike and use an elder helmet for a 6L. this frees up your chest slot so you can use a kaom's for pushing hard content or QoTF for zoom zoom mapping. thats essentially it.

requirements for this is to use grace aura and run a jade flask of reflexes. everything else is flexible. what skill you want to use, what weapons you want to use, w/e. you can do it as a bow char, melee char, w/e you want.

i personally like molten strike because with ngamahus i can pretty easily get 3m shaper dps while having such high attack avoidance and decent spell avoidance. i do usually like to use atziri's step for more spell avoidance, as its decent life and movement speed, and cheap and easy to get.
since you need to run grace for base evasion, you also might as well run vaal grace to cap out that dodge in dire times.

in incursion my build had 7200 life. so i had 7200 life, 80% evasion, 75% dodge, 75% spell dodge, and perma blind. i was pretty tanky, as in not dying. even if i took a hit i wouldn't actually be one-hit, so i'd leech/regen/pot back to full with no issues.
the biggest thing is your nerves. you need to not really be phased by taking half your hp damage in one hit.

if you play melee you can easily have 100% uptime on fortify, and now with instant warcries its pretty easy to have full endurance charges as well. you can add any other damage mitigation you want too, especially tailored to any fight you specifically want.

RF (Righteous Fire) builds. High life, high regen and usually high armour. Only thing you usually need for an RF build is Rise of the Phoenix shield.

Can probably find some builds around here on the forums.
Trickster with some heavy dodge/spell dodge, eva, ES and mind over matter comes to mind... maybe some ED/contagion variant? Then again, your damage will be quite low on that then.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
Just pick a juggernaut build you like.
There is a build section you can browse yourself.
Just a tank is a wet dream. There are regen tanks, block tanks, leech tanks, weird damage immunity builds and some other mechanics, which excel in one area but direly strive in another.
slayer/ ascendant slayer leech is good, but you need mobs in darkness.
