A reasonable thing to what is happening is that GGG may have added new anti-cheat mechanisms w/o collaborating with AV vendors and that caused it. We can never be sure though, this is just speculation.

Makes sense, and I'm all for it, but how do we get around it haha.

Had the same issue. Whitelisted the game. Everything was fine for an hour, before my graphics went to shit and yet another Kaspersky warning popped up, stating that malware had been detected and the system needed to be disinfected.
I know this is most likely just a false positive, but I am a bit paranoid about this stuff, so hopefully we can get a response to this. IGN: Celiath_zph Last edited by Ennyzor#2480 on Aug 31, 2018, 6:16:50 PM

Kaspersky returns a false positive when scanning our executable. You'll have to exclude it or contact their support.

Kaspersky shows the game as clean now - verified on their website.
I would recommend updating your virus definitions and trying again. | |
I can confirm that Kaspersky is no longer flaring the game's executable after updating the virus definitions.
Fantastic response and resolve time, Fitzy. Good job. I have three phones, Blizzard. Three f***ing phones.
