Kaspersky removed the game's executables (Critical) +Malwarebytes

-Windows 10
-Latest Kaspersky


The game was working perfectly fine w/o any reports before updating but now, after installing the latest patch, Kaspersky went hammer on PoE and removed all executables with the reason being as shown in the image below.



I am therefore unable to play the game, please advise!

Thing is, in the past, one of the update servers for an online game was infiltrated and executables were changed and whoever downloaded the patch was basically screwed.

I am not saying that what it is here but, Kaspersky is really good when it comes to false-positives..... some assurance from staff or explanation would be highly appreciated

How often do they reply to threads?, Is it unreasonable to expect an answer soonish? Like in an hour?

Looking at threads generally there are not many responses.

Have the same problem

Pathofexile_x64.tmp

was counted as malware and deleted by kaspersky

-I am now trying the game on a Virtual machine to see if this is a false postive or not. I will inspect the VM after running the game for a while.

- I am also redownloading the game over VPN from different serverd and compare versions provided of the exes to rollout the possibility of it being modified

Thanks Koranora. Those moves are beyond my skillset, so I appreciate you troubleshooting this. I tweeted the Path of Exile Twitter account to try to draw their attention to this thread.
