Guardian vs necro for new minion skills?

My only fear is that herald of agony looks far superior on damage and range skills and faster.
Herald of purity looks like 4 old zombies walking trying to reach the target, too slow, and melee. Herald of agony can easily stack lots of % damage and flat damage from virulence buff, while herald of purity u need to invest all nodes on tree to make nothing close to that much %damage. Hope im wrong from what i saw on ziggy videos. Maybe he was lazy trying to make herald of purity works. |

so this guardian summoner could end up to be shitty like spectral shield throw?? I don't want to waste 20 hours to find out, I'm hoping that pro player can do some math at the end of the 1st week

I am excited to try Guardian summoner and also Pathfinder. I think this league will see a plethora of viable summoner type builds, each with their own flavor. I like being more tanky and getting into the thick of things, so Guardian first for me.

Something I missed...
Virulence expires faster the more of it you stack. As a result, there's something of a soft upper-limit on how much Virulence you'll be able to stack to begin with and we don't know what that is, yet, so maybe wait a bit before creaming your pants over the gem. |

" Most likely its pure attack speed or more hit speed limited. This might make a vaal rain of arrows an uber herald of agony skill. Throw vaal version then follow up with normal one. With concentrated effect to force as many arrows as possible on boss. Still it would propably need dendrobate with a poison on hit bow to get 100% poison chance. Btw increased damage from minion damage and agony herald applies to spells. You don't have to build an attack based minion character.

" Spell require more tinkering with tho we might see return of some kind of rain of fire builds. You could go with something like consuming dark with firestorm +echo +faster casting.
