Guardian vs necro for new minion skills?

In terms of damage, probably (almost certainly) not.
But the defensive options are stronger in guardian, which needs to be seriously taken into consideration: stun immunity, high block, high regen...
Necromancers get offerings at 50% efficiency as their only "defense".
For defense:

1- If u want to go ES based on mana reserved get guardian

2- If u want to go life or hybrid or ES not based on mana get necro

for minion skills u using:

1- If u want your zombies or skeletons or spectre to be good at damage go necro

2- If u want your herald of purity minions go crazy get guardian

3- If u want to go with any other minion, feel free to chose guardian or necro.

For you attacking by your minions side, both are good.
You only go guardian if you're going to use the new Herald.
In all other senses Necro is superior.

Especially if you go jewel socket heavy, a whole bunch of Ghastly Eye jewels with minion attack speed & Damage, get Spiritual Command & Spiritual Aid, and pretty much faceroll the game.

The only drawback is life/defense. Late game bosses will all but ignore your minions and try their damndest to one-shot you. So focus on your defenses as you pass them in the tree... it'll be hybridized crap but it'll be something, at least.

Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.
Will damage/attack speed from ghastly jewels affect character as well with the new nodes? Or is it only Passives, ascendancy passives, items?

If flesh offering bonus works for you too, it will still be good for guardian too.

For guardian will be 100% effective, while for necro will be 150% effective.

Yeah, these are some pretty profound questions.

I just plugged some jewels into Path of Building to see how they would affect a char - and they did not (with the requisite notables selected, and the jewel buff requirements set).

So, 5% attack speed after using minion skill = no affect from jewels on primary character calcs.
Likewise with attack speed or damage after self/minion have killed.

If this is the case - only hard coded minion modifications are affected by those notables - Minion builds are still shoehorned into the 'stand behind your army and do nothing' mold.

<Mind you, Path of Building, while allowing the creation of version 3.4 chars, is still using 3.3 internal calcs, apparently. You cannot select 'version 3.4' for characters, only 3.3 and 2.6>

With Mistress of Sacrifice offerings affect the character at 50% effectiveness. Where are you getting 150%? Or even 100% for guardian? Did they say offerings will affect the player with the new node? Because if so, they should remove that attribute from Mistress of Sacrifice. It would be redundant.

Damn... still dont know what class to play. Well herald of purity minions was too slow on ziggyD video, so not aure if they dont suck endgame. If their dmg not so high for endgame i feel its waste to play guardian... or not...? That chance to generate charges and share with allies include minions?
