"Accuracy Rating" to aim for in endgame builds
This is my first character in a long while where accuracy is a real concern (mostly played RT or spellcaster recently). It also happens to be my first char that gets a lot of "free" flat accuracy from Dexterity.
So, assuming I have 300-350 Dexterity, and want to be reasonably accurate in the endgame (90% chance to hit, give or take) how much "increased accuracy" would I need? 50%? More? None at all? Just need ballpark estimates so I don't end up with crap accuracy 80 levels into the build. ^^ - An extremely helpful resource, provided by Bardharr: " - Edit: Changed the title because it turned into an informative thread about accuracy in general. Previous title: "What's a good "#% increased Accuracy" to aim for as a Ranger?" ____________________________________________________________________________________ - Self-proclaimed king of level 172 budget builds - "Security token has expired. I have 92% chance to hit at the moment at level 89.
176 Base +774 from Dex +10%, +10%, +20%, +20% from tree +29% from Ice Golem +100% from Fast and Deadly ascendancy. Hope this helps. |

" It does, thank you. At the very least you gave me some numbers to play around with. Looks like I'm going to need to lean on accuracy a bit more. P.S.: Are you sure Fast and Deadly works that way? The wording "Accuracy Rating is Doubled" suggests it works like a "more" multiplier. If that's the case, you may have even more total accuracy than I thought at first glance, which doesn't make my situation any brighter... ^^' ____________________________________________________________________________________

It shows in PoB that fast and deadly is 100% 'more' rather than the others being #% increased. In reality though, I have no hit on gear, so you could get away with much lower % if your base was higher.

Your % inc accuracy scales your flat accuracy from levels, gear and ascendancy. As a critbuild aim for at least 2k total accuracy rating, 3k is ideal. As a noncritbuild you can get away with a little less. (The reason is that crits roll TWICE versus mob Evasion, wheras noncrits don't.)

Thanks for the responses.
I moved a few things around and did a bit of number crunching. It turns out I can cram ~100% increased accuracy into the build, and with a little +Accuracy / +Dexterity from gear it should be comfortable enough. ____________________________________________________________________________________

"as you level accuracy will go down. You have to constantly add more and more accuracy. From lv 95+ it's already very vissible. So for that reason I'm using spider shield. But you are probably archer so you need to invest to accuracy pretty heavy. I thing accuracy is more important in long run than people think. Especially if you are crit. Based. |

Good rule of thumb is at least 91% chance to hit (before Ice Golem) at lvl 90

I believe 5,000 accuracy is the cap for 95% hit chance. 4,000 total accuracy I'm pretty sure puts you around 90% or right below it, not sure if that helps.

"it depends on char. Level. I'm not sure if 5000 at level 98 would give 95%. |
