On the part of botting, RMTers are a serious issue for any game. I'd like to see GGG take a more open stance in their regard. Recently, the price of Exalted Orbs went down a tad, but it's still way too high. Good thing I play SSF, where no fucks are given about the economy, but I want everyone else to enjoy a fair playing field as well. :)

No. "Hall of Shame" will not solve single problem. Who do you want to "shame"? Users like hshgegs, yesuaoeo2, irks8ksj, ttytysoe21 ? Nobody will remember their names, even if you will shame them every day. Beside, even if you "shame" some bots on forum, it will not have any impact on these bots, moreover, people will still trade with them, as transactions with bots are simply more comfortable.

We need some healthy economy instead, in combination with solutions that will make life difficult for RMT traders. Solution is simple. GGG should allow vendors to sell exalted orbs, at a fixed price, let’s say… 100 or 120 c. But! Only 1 transaction daily per character and only for chars above lvl 80, for instance. Same thing with silver coins, maybe 200 pieces per day? This will force bots to level several characters to lvl 80, which should discourage many of them. ,

Banning bots will not solve anything, now few dozens of them were banned, but I bet they already made another several accounts ant will continue botting, so in week or so everything will “come to normal” and exalt price to 180+ c.

Or another brave solution with balls: incorporate bots into the game code, so everyone will be able to use them legit and manage what you need from your ingame bot. Restricting and banning is not so powerful as the regulation and general rule might be.

I know GGG is against name and shame but a weekly hall of fame sub should be created to list out all the banned main accounts from botting.

Clearing, there is not enough fear and detterant.

Right, because a list 10,000 long like:

laksdjlskf
jlfskajfls
elejfmdfne
lidjfslfsn
lfnewlfins
lnfnelifsi
nlae;slifj
nfeslfieli
nlafnifsfg
oiunkljnbr
jnuieafsed
naoifnelkf

Is so useful for the community.

Do you understand at least some of the botters are actual players with main accounts and potentially even a forum presence?

It is the same idea with notably wealthy players getting banned for rmt.

Institutional botting. Brilliant. That will solve everything!

It wont matter. GGG should change their game to make it more friendly to players. ATM, PoE is literally a PERFECT game for botting, cause drops, gameplay process, yada yada are so well suited for BOTS.

There is no knowledge
That is not power
GGG has to use the same solution as Bli² for D3.
Personnal loot, no more exchange, increase loot.

Spoiler
And kill POE...

GGG is not working at incursion anymore.
GGG forums are quiet, except for the usual troll thread like this one here.
1 Month race was just announced.
Shareholders sold their stakes to a Chinese investor.

Need more prove?

This league has not worked well with the majority of people, that is a fact. GGG has to do something now, we can just hope they will do the right thing because the game has been awesome in the past up to legacy if we ignore Breach for a second, but even that one time speed meta league, was ok as long it was just once.

But since then, we had three further speed meta leagues, people are just tired about that and because of that, the numbers are going down.
strange kind of human beings...they seem not to know that they are in trouble at all.

Oh, I love this game, don't get me wrong, but the sheer fact that people genuinely feel like quitting because "people make more """"""money"""""" than them more quickly" is patently ridiculous in what should be a run and gun, loot-centric ARPG.

exactly this
