Recent GET FUCKED banwave.

well that would explain why the market feels empty af (at least on hardcore side)
How about a yellow text message from GGG to explain a banwave happened... so ppl dont panic at the deserted market and go "OMG poe dead game thanks tencent"

Sounds to me like he was talking about people wanting to quit because they didn't make as much money as botters...this thread and all the replies had nothing to do with personal goals.

No one is assuming everyone plays the game for the same reason, what was said is that if a bot making you make decisions on playing or not, and is influencing your vineyard of whine then, as he said, the player is being ridiculous...

He didn't say he wants to quit because he doesn't make as much currency as a bot. And Slaanesh actually did say it in a general tone. Not just for bots. Seems like some more focus during reading would do you well.

Besides anyone who thinks bots don't influence our gameplay and the way GGG balances the drops is hilariously naive. Just because you like to hangout in SSF act 1 strand all day doesn't give you the right to ridicule others that play for others reasons.

Every league the inflation on currency has gone up faster and faster, perhaps because botting has become more and more the norm / easy for many players to get rich fast. For me it kills the enjoyment of playing - knowing some turd made 100ex watchin netflix makes the playing field uneven. So it's either for me to start botting, or quit playing. Would be nice if GGG gave a statement on how much impact botting actually had on the economy, and how many percent of the players do it.

Impact are on your playtime, you are also indirectly giving Rmters a salary almost each time you trade currencies, and without any consent;
Impact on the game itself is except SSF, there won't be any legit competitive aspect possible for PoE, and that forever. That's an huge loss in my opinion.

GGG stance is the same than any other company on that part, they do their best but it's something you can eradicate only with the two following ways:

- Law ( sadly it doesn't work well )
- Economy design

Now if GGG change game design / economy they are taking a risk, we all know how this userbase enjoy changes (ahah), and it's way too risky;

Sooo yeah banning bots, creating fear for those that would be tempted is the only thing these company can do.

As for the argue you and me are going to see later on in this thread ( yeah i'm coming from the futur ), that RMT services are ran by poor kids in poor countries and blahblahblah, i will just take it down in a simple way:

There are also poor peoples in these poor countries trying to make their way trought legal activities.

As for the % of players doing it i don't think it's that large, but in the way economy is designed, it doesn't require much people to take over it either.
Hf :)
I got really curious to read these posts myself, so I found a bot forum, and its kinda sad what people are botting.

1 guy complained he had 8 level 90 characters and like 100ex.
Thats like a month of game play for me. I am on my 6-7th character of this league.
It's weird to see that someone would put themselves at such risk, for so little.
Bots? Wow this really is d3.

Yeah it defeinitely has to do with bots not the fact that each league we become a hell of a lot more powerful due to unchecked powercreep and enemies just shower you in loot. I mean it's not as if the temple is ridiculously fucking easy and then Alva throws about 17 screens worth of loot at you afterwards. It definitely can't be the fact that we get flooded with more currency than ever while the content is beyond braindead easy so virtually anyone can be showered in said currency, nope it has to be the fucking bot's fault.
Currently being stalked around these forums by some clowns who caught feelings over being called out at being grossly inept at their job.
Sure, so the price of chaos going down after a huge ban wave by around 30% has literally nothing to do with botting. It's just the... invisible hand of the market at work LOL

^Yet another example of someone with no understanding of economics (not that I expect intelligence from someone who uses numbers in place of letters). All they did was open the door for market manipulators and they're having a field day right now.

You seem to be bend on not blaming bots. Maybe you are salty lol.

btw just to get you out of the dream, this league is not even close to Legacy and breach in terms of loot showers. Then again if you actually played this league, you would know.
When you realize that all your favorite streamers arent even really playing they are watching porn while their bot earns twitch views for them.
