When GGG sold 80% of the company to Tencent?

I can hear Wilson laughing from here. Makes the Predator (tm) sound like a little girl in comparison. Well played, man.
Frankly, I never believed the day would come. RIP ideology. You have my sympathies, guys. |

" There were no timegates on event lootboxes until recently, there was even a term on the new year event, "40 mins lootboxes" because you could just farm the currency necessary for them. Whenever Tencent goes, timegates (and options to bypass them using irl money) follow, LoL has the same thing. " They own 80% of GGG, it doesn't matter what they say, it matters that they can, and will decide how the business model will work on the international version. You can't seriously believe the boss of a company wouldn't decide how the company earns money. |

Tencent is one of the worst companies in my subjective opinion. whenever they buy any company or game they ruin it. they are greedy as hell. Look at League of legends or other. same goes for Trion and Nexon. all of them are greedy companies. they dont care about players they care about money only. And that business model is not healthy for games. GGG was so promising cause they were sincere with us - players. and many of us express our loyalty by buying packs to support the GGG. Now im afraid thing will go wrong way. But i want to be mistaken so badly i really do :(
I hope maybe this game wont be ruined by them :( |

" Just take it one patch at a time. 3.3's still ok. Just see what 3.4 brings and go from there. |

" When DID? Hard to understand what you're even saying. |

" What we do know is this: New Zealand COMPANIES REGISTER for GGG From this filing we know: 1. GGG shareholders sold a controlling interest on May 21, 2018. 2. 15 shareholders sold out completely. 3. Chris', Jonathon's, and Erik's number of shares were sizably reduced. 4. Tencent acquired 2666666 shares of GGG stock (at an undisclosed price) 5. GGG is still a privately held company. How long before this date the talks and stock purchase was negotiated is unknown but it was probably soon after the Tencent Chinese version of PoE was showing good month to month financial profit (educated quess). "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.
