Flash back was ruined by beasting

Like the league mechanics or not, one thing you can't fault this league for is the addition of new endgame bosses. In my opinion these bosses - Atziri, Abyss lich, Prophecy council, and Bestiary first ones - provide some entertainment when you're bored of the monotony in endgame maps. I hope the next league expands on this too honestly.

There are bosses associated with this league?
I was like "I m not gonna play this furry league"

Then I see flashback event and I've even invited friends to play with me.

The only downside of this event is inclusion of bestiary.

It is really the only anti-fun mode included.

So let me get this straight. There are two reasons why you guys complain that beastiary is included in flashback:

1) There are 1-2 additional tougher mobs (on the level of up to very hard map bosses) in each map that can be skipped and that provide extra loot.

2) There is a completely optional game mechanic and the mere presence of that option is a problem. In particular since using that option (which you are not required to do, since, you know, it is optional) requires a 1x1 space (wow this is going to explode your inventory) in your inventory.

Are these the issues you have? Really? Are you even remotly serious?

Oh yes... they are serious.

They don't even seem to notice that people can see how fake the complaints are over such insignificant stuff, as long as they can complain as a group.

It's pure comedy to read though, so at least there's that.
What I find funny about the anti-bestiary league is that they prove all the myths about PoE players to be wrong.
"omg PoE tree is super complex, players are used to more game depth due to the many different routes available to you".... "there are too many beastcrafting options I dont understand any of it REMOVE IT FROM THE GAME".
"we love hard content" "WHY CANT I KILL THIS MOB IN ONE-HIT??? I HATE THIS CARPET BOMBING ATTACK IT DOES TOO MUCH DAMAGE FUCKING BESTIARY IS TRASH"
Though really, the game being full of scrubs was something confirmed by Invasion League... and lab and act 4.... you get the point

With that said there are lot of legit complaints. Bestiary needs some changes.
Off the top of my head:
-Make REDs more visual distinct from other mobs
-make it so one can hide the NEW RECIPE/NEW BEAST messages. jesus its prophecy all over again but worse, just let me press space to make it go away.
-add stashes to the menagerie
-maybe remove the regen mods from REDs (not completely sure about this one, depends on numbers, area lvl, etc. Maybe they could give it a special kind of regen instead)
-give a slot for nets in inventory
-maybe rebalance the net system? not sure if should or shoudlnt be done, but more importantly...
-make nets auto-use/capture something killed by your totems or minions.
-rebalance beastcraft auto-slot. I accidentally used a red yesterday cause I didnt see it was put there automatically in a second slot even though I had numerous zone-unique mobs that could fit and arent part of special recipe (and yeah, while I should have noticed due to portrait, at least dont select yellows bestmods so readily when there are far more common beasts in menagerie)
-make it so beast capture counts even if your bestiary is full Or better yet, remove the limit to beasts captured altogether and while Im at it
-DONT REPLACE ALBINO RHOAS every time you capture some shitty magic+ rhoa
-add more super-rare monster spawn of the same kind as Albino rhoas (suggestion, I understand if GGG wants the Rhoa to be the only special one since its their baby)
-make a lot of recipes cost 1 less beast (not all, especially not the most special ones)

I think the problem with this league is that it should have been introduced as part of a large expansion, and not a league. Its a great addition to the game with some tweaks, and because it was released in a rather unpolished/incomplete state and previous 3 leagues were too generous (fuck you bestiary is not worst league by any means you dont even remember/didnt play some old leagues if you can say that so easily) it caused a clash. (people also misdirected some hatred at current mob density in maps towards this)
Its being given the PvP treatment by some, though that was a much worse case, released so unfinished and unbalanced that was pretty damaging to the PvP idea in the game for a long time.

You guys are precious. Stroking each other at how superior you are because some people don't like Bestiary but YOU have it all figured out.

Conceptually, not being able to understand the opinions of the "other side" is a massive failing in debate, you know. Whether you are being purposely obtuse or not.

At any rate, love the Flashback. In my opinion I think Bestiary has little impact in Flashback, but I took a totally meta approach and am just leveling yet another Sunder build. I've crafted a couple of uniques that didn't end up fitting my build other than a helm. And I look forward to having Harbinger orbs for Atlas.
I’ve literally not used a single net and do not plan to. I dislike Bestiary and skipped the league.

Flashback is really fun though and I’m not going to miss out on it because I dislike the beast capture mechanics. Just think of them as extra loot piñatas and don’t look back. It’s better that way.

Conceptually the argument is that if I don't like it I don't want it to exist in the game until someone articulates otherwise. You can't just blame one side for not understanding the other when the other has made no effort other than complaining.

What debate ?
One side has this argument: "content is easy to skip and won't give you a significant disadvantage by doing so."
The other side counter-argument is: " the existence of this league emotionally damaged me and therefore it should be deleted for me (but also you) ". Which is not a counter-argument. It's a literal end of discussion.

If there ever was a debate, it ended long ago. It's not a debate when (at least one) side has reached pure emotion. It's just pure venting in a mockery of communication.

Not to say that emotions aren't important. But trying to mascarade them into reason and arguments is what's really unethical.

To speak in PoE terms: Do you think 100 % of players funnel every tormented spirit they encounter into a rare ? Does that mean these players' experience is ruined by horrible league mechanics ? Should we consequently completely erase tormented spirit from the game ?

Tormented spirits are not what makes the game horrible or excellent. But they do provide a beneficial rush to some players while others simply don't care.

Bestiary offers MUCH more than tormented spirits (especially to ssf), with the same little-to-none-consequences than tormented spirits.

Let's open this to debate: I provided argument and example. Counter them with argument and example.

I hope this beast mechanic never makes it to real game.
Every league has a mechanic that a lot of people hate. A lot of love gets thrown around for them.

I really dig the Breach-Abyss-Beyond combo. I am just at the threshold for invoking experience penalty. Also pleasantly amazed at how well my new laptop runs those mods, seeing how most of them caused slideshows on the old one. It's an interesting league for performance testing if you take the time to do so.

Based on the fact the menagerie is a thing, it's not just something that will go away. Either that, or it will never be seen again, not even in the next Flashback league. One interesting observation that makes me not hate it: Invasion bosses are often a good source for capturable beasts at times where they otherwise couldn't be expected. Which reminds me... I haven't even been to my menagerie yet...

Peace oot.
I think the new meta is everyone bitching about the new league.
This kind of statement precludes debate.
