3.5 HYPE INFOS
Seems that nothing has been changed for us, so all veiled stuff etc. is only a buff for us!

This build is being done just for the pure sake of simple and easy mapping T10 - T15.
Just before you go nuts: This is NOT! a 5 quadzillion DPS build. It does great damage and you can farm even guardians or eternal lab with it but it is NOT advised to do so as this requires real skill and the build is NOT meant for that at all.

How does the build work?
Our main DPS comes from Skeleton Mages. You summon them, they shoot and everything around 1-2 screens wide dies. If there is a rare/bestiary/essence/boss mob your spectres will kick in. 2 or 3 (with Vis Mortis) spectres will melt them hard mobs down, while your Skeletons support with more damage and keeping mobs off of your pooper.
As support for all that we use Arc to procc Elemental Equilibrium for cold and fire damage, applying also elemental weakness and culling. On top of this we have the Haste aura in an essence worm ring, so we have enough mana for MoM and our creatures love the use of our Flesh Offering, so they can go full nuts.

So what do we need?
To start the build you be level 24, need 2 Dead Reckoning Jewels, 1 From Dust Jewel, 1 Reverberation Rod.

How do I level this Build?
Leveling Guide
Until Level 8 use any skill you like. I prefer Freezing Pulse or Lightning Tendrils with any 2 damage support gems.
As soon as you hit level 4 equip a Summon Raging Spirit gem to level it. When you hit level 8 you craft yourself a +1 to fire gems wand (any magic wand + 1 Alteration orb + Ruby Ring) and 3 link it RBB and put SRS + Melee Spash + Minion Damage into it. This single item will carry you all the way to level 24 or even higher. All your other slots could be empty and it would still be a breeze. But for your own sake please put stuff into it with life and resistances.

When you are 16 buy Desecrate and put it into your gear to level it.

When you finally hit level 24 you will want to have this tree: Core Tree
You now throw your Wand and gems away, put the Dead Reckoning into the sockets left and right from the Witch starting area and the From Dust into the socket above the Witch start.
Equip the Reverberation Rod and socket Summon Skeletons + Lesser Multiple Projectiles + Pierce into it.
From this point on your skeletons will do all the main work.

When you are 28 you get yourself the Raise Spectre gem. Put it into any 4 link supported with Elemental Focus, Minion Damage and Minion and Totem Elemental Resistance. You can use it if you want on any monster until you reach the flying cloths "Flame Sentinel". You get yourself this one as spectre and it will support your skeletons in clearing the areas.

When you reach level 38 you can, if you have the currency, buy a 5 linked weapon and put your skeletons into it: Summon Skeletons + Greater Multiple Projectiles + Pierce + Minion Damage + Spell Echo
If you can not afford a 5L weapon exchange LMP for GMP. The Reverberation Rod will still carry you, the 5L is just luxury to make stuff faster.

When you reach act 6 things start to get fun. You will throw away your Flame Sentinel and exchange it for a Tukohama Vanguard in one of the first 3 areas of act 6 (NOT the Twilight Strand). This will be now your ultimate boss killer.

At level 59 if you have currency, you can get yourself a 5L Vis Mortis and socket your Spectres in it: Raise Spectre + Elemental Focus + Minion and Totem Elemental Resitance + Minion Damage + Switft Affliction.

If you don't have the currency for a Vis Mortis 5 linked you can opt in to farm Blood Aqueducts until you have a Tabula Rasa and put your Spectres into this. A 5L Mortis is still stronger than 6L Tabula! If you get a Tabula add Burning Damage on top of the gems.

At level 68 you get yourself a Pledge of Hands. If you have currency buy a 5 link, if you have a Jewellers Touch prophecy get the cheapest you can find and make it 5 linked. If you don't have currency get just either the cheapest and put 4 sockets + 4 links on it (should be achievable without the Vorici bank). Put Summon Skeletons + Pierce + Greater Multiple Projectiles + Minion Damage (+ Elemental Focus on 5L) into the Pledge. If you don't have a 5L yet, don't worry. You can even farm T5 on a 4L until you have the currency for a 5L that will let you even farm up to T12 and maybe higher.

At this point you should also setup the rest of the socket groups.

Since your minions are doing all the work you can concentrate to evade stuff that comes at you and that you get out of bad area effects. Keep your skeletons at max and your spectres at the highest possible level.

Final Gear:

Vis Mortis/Tabula: Raise Spectre + Elemental Focus + Minion and Totem Elemental Resistances + Minion Damage + Swift Affliction + Burning Damage

Pledge of Hands: Summon Skeleton + Pierce + Greater Multiple Projectiles + Minion Damage + Elemental Focus + Controlled Destruction

4 Link: Arc + Culling Strike + Curse On Hit + Elemental Weakness

4 Link: Vaal Haste + Faster Casting + Increased Duration + Flesh Offering

4 Link: Flame Dash + Faster Casting + Desecrate + Summon Stone Golem (You can use Flame Golem for Damage instead)

Essence Worm: Haste

Helmet: Bone Helmet, nothing is better. Period. 40% more minion damage is nuts.

Rest Gear is just rares with as much life and resists you can get.

For the Jewel Slots we need: 2 Dead Reckoning (CORE ITEM!), 1 From Dust (CORE ITEM!), 4 To Dust

Flasks: Really, anything you like. At least the standard Eternal Life Flask with Bleed Immunity. The rest is what ever you like. Maybe a Rumi for some extra survivability.

Trees:
Core Tree to start with skeletons: Starter Tree
Priority 1: Getting a second spectre, extra skeletons and all minion damage nodes
Priority 2: Getting MoM and some life and a jewel socket
Final Tree: Final Tree

On the final tree just get what you need most and what you can afford. If you die a lot get some life nodes. Else go for the jewel sockets and buy yourself some "To Dust" jewels.

Ascensions:
Invoker -> Bone Sculptor -> Soul Weaver -> Puppet Master

Pantheon:
Big God: Brine King
Small God: Ryslatha or Shakari
Upgrading the gods is a nice bonus.

Bandits: Kill All
The 2 passive points are the best we can have.

Labyrinth Enchantments:
Helmet: NONE! We have a Bone Helmet that gives us 40% more minion damage. No Enchant can do better.
Gloves: Commandment of the Grave! More Minions, more fun.
Boots: Regenerate 2% Life and Mana if you've been hit recently.

FAQ:

My spectres are dying constantly. What am I doing wrong?
Remember that your spectres always have, at maximum the level of your zone you are summoning them in. That is why you instantly get a desecrate at level 16 and start leveling it. This allows your desecrate to always be able to create corpses at the level of your zone or higher so you can get the highest possible spectres. Summon them new on EACH new higher level zone you enter.

Can I use Bones of Ullr?
If your resistances are maxed and you are happy with your life while wearing no boots, yes use them and get the extra spectre.

You said guardians and eternal lab can be done. How?
Exchange Flame Dash or Faster Casting (from the same setup) with a level 20 convocation and use it everytime to pull your spectres away from bosses when they charge up anything. That's the whole trick. It's timing. But as said, while you can do I do not advise to use this build to actually farm endgame content.

Do you have any other guides?
Yes. I have a nice SUNDER GUIDE that can do all content.

I would like to support you. How can I?
As I don't have paypal the only way in supporting me is with ingame items for my builds I play or for builds I would love to try.
Currently I really do have a build I would love to try but never be able to afford. That is "Occultist Low Life ES RF". I only want to play that one on standard. I also have started to build a Wander and could still use a nice rare wand, on standard too.

I have questions to stuff not listed here. What do I do?
Just post your question as a post here. I am mostly watching the boards 3-4 times a day. So answers should not take too long.

Not yet as my gear is not completed yet, as you can see on my profile my gear is still sub par and I don't even have any links, except skeletons and spectres and still run on a tabula.
But would show how powerful it is. Might do one tomorrow.

So there's one thing I'm curious about. Is this build meant to just be a farm build that you then use to acquire currency for another / true build? Because I saw it said a few times in the OP that it's not meant to farm end game bosses.

Now I'm assuming that means the higher tier stuff, or what exactly? I'm going to be getting back into PoE after a very long hiatus so I'm just taking a look at a bunch of different specs that are budget friendly and not overcomplicated. Was interested in this one.

Thanks!

Perhaps I can comment about this for OP.

the build pastebin for Path of Building shows that he has 5364 hp with 2655 mana for MoM. That means he could tank a hit of approximately 6973, with 1046 mana to spare. That is quite reasonable for most large 'spike' hits, so you could in theory expect to survive through a lot of the harder content in the game...

however, as OP stated, the difficulty in playing a summoner/spectre build isn't so much the caster's survivability, but the minions. He said that you can swap out a movement skill to include a convocation, which is a small duration heal for the minions, but mor importantly is used for their positioning.

At that point, it's really about knowing boss fight encounters and when to use it in order to prevent your minions from melting. It could be tricky, but I can definitely see guardians and uber done consistently with a build like this. Uber/UE not so much. . . But what summoner can do those.

Cheers

Hello,

what Kwitch already said is valid.
Mostly this build is just for farming purposes as it really needs nothing, as you can see, but still does damage from hell (yup pun in terms of necro undead etc).
Depending on your own skill and bossknowledge you definitely CAN do at least Red Elder and Shaper. But you need to use convocation for positioning to get spectres out of the shaper slam or other bad things. If you manage to time that it's quite easy. But don't expect a bosskiller killspeed.

Playstyle is ultra easy. Spectres on max possible level summoned are almost unkillable.
Summon your whole skeleton army with one click, walk 1-2 screens, resummon. Map clear.

This guide plays with Vanguards, not Flame Sentinels or Solar Guards.
Those are for map cleraing and we have our Skeleton Mages for that, so no need for Solar Guards or Sentinels.
