(you need to open POB and enter the string in the proper field)

As I mentioned before, I added Herald of Agony on the Embalmer gloves (so effectively a 5 link). I was ever so pleased with this skill. It really helps with bosses; it is good for cleaning up stragglers; it comes with a global 20% chance to poison on hit; and, as it turns out, is also adept at taking out any nasties that might come up behind you when you are progressing through a Delve (something that I did not realize/appreciate until playing another build). This also means that I have embraced the Corrison School of Strictly Cyclone.

I was able to buy an Impresence, but it took all my exalt drops plus I had to buy more with chaos orbs (which were more available because of rings and amulets dropping from chests in the Delve). I am somewhat concerned that by Betrayal League, the Impresence will be out of my reach. The good news on that front is that you can still apply Despair via curse on hit with the Mark of Submission ring (or you could sacrifice some gem sockets, but I prefer the ring and then scramble to make up the resists).

I went with a single Jewel (as opposed to none - but i'd probably add more sockets if I went up more levels) because it had a feature that I wanted to try out (add 2 pts to Energy Shield per enemy hit by attacks). I actually started looking for "cannot be hindered", but the more I read, the more it seemed like I would rarely be hindered but the pricing did not reflect this. I really don't understand the finer points of ES, but I figured at the least it would add some more shielding to burn off and possibly that it might offer some protection against ailments. I cannot say for certain what it does, but placebo effect or not, it did feel tankier.

An notable addition to my game play was that I added a Jade Flask of Staunching (choose your own prefix) which I try to keep up constantly while attacking (to make up for the loss of the much beloved Grace). The Sin's Rebirth is nice, but I have it because it dropped for me.

I got to level 96(.5) this league and I feel that if I had not worked on an alternative character for the last few weeks, I would have easily cleared 97. I also went down to Delve Depth 300 - for the challenge point - and then cruised around rather safely at the monster level 80 depths. The new Zana options were a real boon for me. This build thrived on the 2 chaos Zana shaped map option applied to tier 5 maps (one of the big reasons that I went up more levels this league). I really feel that shaped tier 5 bosses are far less RIPpy than many of the natural tier 10 bosses. And with my alt, I have developed a taste for Zana shaping tier 10 to tier 15 (but I was parked between levels on this build and never got around to testing out that mod).

I'm interested if any of the more schooled players have any insight into how the ES on hit might be helping. If anyone is looking to fit in a portal gem, the Riposte gem can easily be replaced (I think).

Same Pantheon choices: Solaris (only for the 4 second Crit relief, I'd really like to take Lunaris) and Ralakesh (except Ryslatha for any sort of extended cage matches, especially the Lab).

The Gladiator block gave me that exact feeling, thats why I wrote this post in the first place.

Impresence is 100% drop "not specific damage type" from red elder, or atleast very high drop chanse.

Do you need to be member of the page to gain access to the link ?
Cant you link a directly link for pob.

I think im gonna play ssf bleed gladiator with lancing steel this season, impale + bleed seems quite cool.

Heh, I like it!

How are you finding the block changes effecting you?

I guess we'll all be slightly in your debt for the original posting ...

As for POB, I'm not really an expert. As far as I know, you just copy and paste the link into the field called "Import from Pastebin" (under Build Sharing on the Import/Export Build tab). At first I was concerned that I had failed to provide some sort of permission, but I see that Corrison was able to access the build.

I'm not the most observant sort during combat but I didn't really notice much difference. That's totally logical because I didn't stack any spell block before and so nothing changed when it was no longer allowed (apart from my attempts to get Daresso's Courage working). Despite putting some passive points into block, it seems that there really has to be a lot of enemies in reach for the block chance to max out. Most of the time, I feel the main defensive mechanism is how fast the life on hit and other life leach refills the health globe after taking a significant hit. I actually find map mods that limit life leech more troublesome than those that limit block.

It occurred to me afterwards that I should have said that the Grace skill was amazing rather than beloved - oh well, next time.
