have you played A.V.A? if so is it still good? or did they do a worse job than aeria games?
I wouldn't say the golden era is over but I would definitely say that the traditional GGG ideology for content creation, league mechanics, and overall patch balance...has as of late been Diablo 3 terribad. All of us should have expected nothing because when I read this patch notes or lack thereof for this league - it was easy to read between the lines and realize they ran out of time and the holidays held many setbacks for deadlines. This constant push for super mega content and 29834329439 MTX per day is, in my opinion, hurting the longtime longevity of the game.
I think they are working on something else, that's why they pump the money best they can atm.

Someone might call it PoE 2 but I think it will be different game enough to have another title.

Alt Art items as League MTX - When?
I have enough faith in GGG that I believe they can bounce back from one bad league
I dont see any any key!

...How is MTX hurting the game?

It is needed for a free to play game but adding 1 or 2 mtx per day in lieu of fixing broken league mechanics and going silent for periods of time while CLEARLY things are falling apart, rushed, bugged etc is disheartening.

Doubly so for a really, really, rushed and bad league. One cannot help but get the slippery slope EA / Korean lootbox, day 1 DLC feeling from it.

It's an image thing - I am sure they have an entire portion of their art guys working on MTX which has nothing to do directly with coding content creation but the image of it is unsavory...at least to me.

so they should just not release MXT that they have done?

its not like that will help fix bugs any faster, the mxt people are not the bug fix people
I dont see any any key!

Of course not, but what if I can afford to hire 10 more people in my team and I hire 9 artists to work on MTX and 1 coder to work on the game?
Wouldn't this hurt the development of the game in the long run?

Not saying that this is what they did/are doing though.
This is the first League that disappoints me so far, mystakes can happen.
They will recover.

sometimes just throwing more people at a problem is not the answer

in fact it can make things worse
