This game isn't worth playing in hardcore until loading screen deaths are addressed.

I really don't think I'll play again. Taking a break for sure. So take notes GGG losing your player base to this.

Its. A. Beta.

They know there are issues with server instability - hell, the have posted about how they are addressing the issues as we speak.

I know it's hard to lose a HC character to this, but crap like this is to be expected. This isn't a demo, it's a beta. Shit will happen, frequently. You just have to roll with it until it's sorted.

I am bewildered. I've seen examples of de-sync in streaming/youtube but I've never had it happen to me. Got 20mb UK broadband, use europe server and pc is

i5 2500k CPU 3.30ghz
8gb RAM
64bit OS Win 7
Geforce GTX 570
SoundBlaster Xfi Xtreme Audio
ST1000DM003-9YN162 ATA Device 75% free space on it

Settings on max, fps never drop below 100, mostly around 160-190. I do get lag spikes, but mostly stable on 30-40. Loading times are almost non-existant. Ive actually watched people enter a portal in my party and I click to enter.. I ARRIVE BEFORE THEM!?

Am I just lucky?

If GGG chickens made an action RPG, what would it be called? Path of Eggxile, a Peck 'n' Slash RPG.
Why was the helmet spluttering? It was a coif.

Pretty much all of your specs are irrelevant for loading times. The real bandit is the disk where the game is located. A quick SSD will provide very short loading times (I experienced this firsthand when I moved my game client from my HDD to my SSD).

A RAM disk or SSD would probably resolve your issue.
I know on my laptop with a RAM disk set up, I barely even see the load screen.
Hell, why CAN'T invulnerability last until you move? Although this would be somewhat of a workaround to the real problems, it would definitely work, should be dead simple to implement and I personally can't think of a way that it could be exploited.

EDIT: well, I guess it would have to expire if you move or take any other action (like attack), otherwise you could pull mobs and then re-enter an instance. Duh. Still, the general idea still makes sense.

Even with a SSD yesterday, I died in HC to a load screen. Was going from Docks to Sarn Encampment, and I had the delight of just looking at a load screen while hearing my witch being beaten the death, and ultimately died.

PC Specs:

i7 3930k@3.8Ghz
16GB RAM Quad Channel
250GB SSD
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 ti 2GB DDR5

35Mbps Down/6Mbps Up Internet connection.

gotta love dem dramas.

easy to resolve this problem.... make invulnerable infinite until you move or use skill......

GGG i resolved you'r problem whit deaths in loading screens!!!.

I've been saying this for many many months.
Devolving Wilds
Land
“T, Sacrifice Devolving Wilds: Search your library for a basic land card and reveal it. Then shuffle your library.”
i dont see why its only 10secs of invulnerability ? its not like ur gonna exploit anything when u cant perform any actions -.-
