Beastcrafting should ALWAYS give the best tier of a mod we want it is possible to this item level - that's what essences do. Whats the point of those literally USELESS bestcrafts? Remove them from the game, at least it wont clog my list with 190 useless recipe when I look for 5 usefull one.

* Alchemy crafting (2011): you can choose a specific base item, you cannot choose affixes or their tier
* Essence crafting (2016): you can choose a specific base item, you can choose one specific affix of a specific tier * Bestiary crafting (2018): you can only choose a rough base class, you can choose a specific affix which will have a random tier This is a buff (tm) I'm sorry, but most of the beastcrafting is garbage, inferior to essences and even alchemy or alt/aug/regal combo. Most beastcrafting isnt even good for ghetto poorhouse SSF-ers. A handful of nice leveling recipes and top-tier "OP" crafts, is not enough to call this a "crafting league". Chris did say there were more changes coming next week. Maybe. Hope they fix this league. Or dumpster it.

Honestly, if they just put a floor on the modifiers you can get based on the average level of the monsters used (so you can't cheese it and use low-level beasts as filler), or make the item level less dependent on the top-left corner... That would go a long way towards fixing it.
Right now, you can legitimately have dumb things like the only 'viable' mob for the top-left being ~30-50 levels lower then everything else, leading you into a pants-on-head situation of fighting 2-3 level 60+ mobs to craft a level 18 item, because the last time you saw a bloody Saqawine Retch was gods-damned forever ago. Or, conversely, cheesing it and having only one mob that isn't instantly disintegrated by your sheer awesomeness and the item-level being 60+ because that one just happened to be the only one that mattered. I'm not sure why it was designed that way, but it's kind of stupid and if this is their way of 'balancing' it, I'd really rather like to know what they're on so I can avoid it. And maybe start passing around a hat to pay for an intervention and/or rehab. |

" I watched Etup a couple days ago for a little bit and only recipe he was doing was charging 20 chaos to all that brought the beasts and 6L item (lots of Astral Plates) for a dupe service (split 1 item into 2). He looked like he was doing 1 beast kill every 3 minutes so he was making 400 Chaos per hour for the crafting service with his tank build (killing all beasts super fast, with the help of the player paying for the dupe of course). Nice way to get rich fast but looked super repetitively boring. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
