So is It actually better to ignore 90% of the beastcrafting recipes and rely on drops ( and trade obviously ). If so that is an epic fail for a game mechanic .

it is always better to rely on trade, no matter the mechanic

I had a pretty similar experience, then just went to go give Haku all my money to craft things like an adult.

Some of my 'no attack mod' attempts were also pretty laughable (single-digit spell damage, 2% cast speed, similar things)...

Why am I burning level 60+ beasts on bottom tier mods, again? Feels bad, man.

EDIT: 0 and 2 for coherent braining today. Debating just going back to bed at this rate, christ.

more like 98%

rng high lvl uniques might proc eventually from create unique item recepies. But thats kinda it.

Cant see something usefull in craft terms, apart random uniques of all types, flasks and 6link item splits.

But you can now level like a boss, dual wielding that "beasts" 8)
