SST, nice meme GGG

I thought the point of the skill was to apply poison stacks. But as Occultist I haven't interacted with it.
I was struggling quite hard, leveling with this skill on my 1st character this league...

However, I must admit that clearing maps becomes really smooth once you get everything set up properly. I'm running a phys->ele conversion with Ewar Mirage in main hand + Pacher's aim jewel + Deadeye ascendancy to get +3 chain. With this amount of chain, you start clearing entire packs with only 1-2 shots focused on the rare. Picking up some proj speed nodes and not socketing slow proj gem also greatly improves QoL.

I'm only lvl 79 though with shitty gear and no uber lab points and farming just T4's for now, so we'll see how it scales. But once you hit that +2/3 chain and get your 5L plus gems leveled a bit, it feels like I clear entire screens in no time. Though my hunch is that it feels good mainly because of Tailwind and the fast feeling gameplay.

Nevertheless, it does feel like you need crazy investment to even make it playable, thus sacrificing any late-game scaling potential.
I hit 85 last night. Played shield throw right from level 12, was pretty painful for leveling but not the worst fresh league leveling experience I've had. Clear is fast and nice. Single target isn't great but not the worst either. Uber lab was really easy, Izaro went down quickly. It's definitely not a top tier skill or anything and I recognize that my build is certainly not standard, but I'm enjoying it and the farm has been nice and fast through maps so I'm piling up a nice little amount of currency so far while using garbage gear myself.

That is what I was coming to post.

I play a Lazy Paladin every league, usually as my starter. Max block Gladiator with all 3 triggered counter attacks, and usually a shit dps 1 handed attack skill.

When I first saw SST I was hoping it would turn out to be a great option for the build. But when I saw that those nodes did not count before the SST dps calc I realized it was going to be just another shit dps build.

Oh well.
Damn, I was going to start with SST Deadeye, I'm glad I changed my mind. Maybe they balanced this skill around 3k armor shield people have in standard and shaped triple conversion stat sticks?

As Wadjet suggested, even in Standard with insane gear is sucks.

I just did a bit of math with PoB and saw that the way to skill damage in skills tree was awful. That's like the first and only symptom u need to see that a skill is garbage compared to other stuff.
