You do realize that deadeye has a notable skill "Richochet" right?

You do realize it gives "Skills Chain +1 times & Projectiles deal 10% more Damage for each remaining Chain right?

Seems like a good use for chain gem to me.

slotting Fork support and swapping it out on bosses for slower proj is better man. SST needs more damage and scaling support, not fork or chain. You have the power to make it fork without blowing a whole ascendancy on it just for that.

And no, I wouldnt waste a gem slot on chain.

Slotting chain is still a damage loss for subpar AoE, not even considering the fact that you could have another very beefy support in it's stead.

"Chaining" as a mechanic has it's uses and can be very powerful. Actually, that's a core part of my build for this league. Chaining never really worked with direct hit skills with no mechanics on their own to make it shine. Well... except the very first iteration of chain when it was very sought after, but these days are long long gone.

Look at the guy who is using fork: now that is smart ! Sure you still get a penalty on hit... but forks mechanically works better: you double the explosions. And he makes he tries to emphasize dot. You do have to work with the weird forking though, I understand that's not to the taste of everyone.
before I ditched the idea of playing this league at all I had in mind a dual setup with a fork SST in a pair of thunderfists and the main single hit banger in the inpulsas chest. Was just going to stack flat lightning on it with chance to shock. Fork + corpse explode did seem like probably the best way to make its clear feel better than the standard single shatter. Wrath, herald of thunder, added lightning gem, light pen, maybe augyre and phys to lightning, just stacking proj, ele and lightning damage.

The way the pens on the attack nodes are pen with weapons tho... thats shit, they need to change that to attacks, why is that weapons? what purpose does it serve not being general attack when the wed nodes they are on were specifically changed to attack?

Give SST a build in Chain and everything is fine.

Using Chain for 50% less damage instead of using a gem for 50% more damage is not really a choice damagewise.
Should scale with +% defenses on shield passives as increased damage.

Before more information came out on the skill, I was hoping to theory-craft a build utilizing those shield nodes. A defensive, shield throw build seemed like it would have been a lot of fun.
It's really disgusting.

Need a rework ASAP.
