Well, I am fairly disappointed. Scion remains terrible as an Ascendancy choice. It did improve, but it is still all over the place. Like before, a lot of their choices are lackluster. There are a few decent/good ones, but I can't imagine people picking Scion over a proper Ascendancy.

The issue with Scion remains the same. They can only pick 2 Ascendancy nodes. I cannot think of any combination of 2 Ascendancy nodes that would beat a proper Ascendancy class with 4 Ascendancy nodes.

The good nodes I see are from Necro, Juggernaut, Heirophant, and Deadeye(This one is only if the additional Projectile is worth the pick, otherwise this is a bad pick).

Sorry, what? How is Scion Necro/Guardian better than other classes as support?
Let's assume you have 8 Auras. Scion Necro Guardian gives 24% attack/cast speed and 8% physical damage reduction. You also get a 10% increased effect. So maybe 26.4% atk/cast speed (no movement speed here) and 8.8% physical damage reduction.

Compare to an 8 Aura Guardian. 8% phys damage reduction, 1.6% life regen per second. Large Armor and ES bonus from Unwavering Faith. Now, there are some branches. You can either provide them with Frenzy, Endurance, and Power Charges with Harmony of Purpose. Or you can provide Atk, Cast, Movement speed with Prayer of Glory. Or you can provide stun immunity and block chance with Bastion of Hope.
I love how I take a look at the Jugg reveal, and its like, a broken class now, I take a look at others, and its like, wow they are awesome.

Then I take a look at Scions, and suddenly I realise just how bad this class is.

Sure you can mix some choices to make the class "viable" but even after playing Scion the entire Abyss league, it really is just making the game harder for yourself.

Go play a real spec on a real class, and its like, you've left hard mode and entered easy mode.
I love these changes, I can see dozens of interesting builds to try on Ascedant now compared to only 3-4 before :P

You are better off playing as another class. Either Deadeye or Berserker would be better.
As another class your early game and end game is better. Early game, you get 1 Ascendancy node, Scion cannot get it until the second lab. Late game, the 4 Ascendancy nodes outweigh Scion's 2 Ascendancy nodes.
Saboteur is underwhelming, give him QoL arming speed and trap recovery speed instead of 30% AoE; It's too clunky otherwise
Finally not just +1 totem while in helmet >-> although the eldar, shaper items made that not too bad considering they could be 6 L quality just became an issue with soul mantle tbh! much needed change ty. and free arcane surge weow :)
So D3-ish - do guinea pig actions to get sweet juicy bonuses.
