Revamped Ascendancy Class Reveal: Trickster

for sure Harness the Void is just a single proc.
20% to gain 50% extra chaos
15% to gain 100% extra chaos
10% to gain 200% extra chaos
50% to not gain extra chaos damage

Traditionally, separate modifiers are put on separate lines. Harness the Void is three separate lines, so following tradition it's three separate modifiers -> three separate rolls. That's my interpretation anyways.

It's also incredibly stupendously powerful due to how "non-Chaos Damage" works.

500 es from a 3k evasion armour. Hmm..

but then you are stuck with a bad ascendancy, i can see trickster being good for ed/rf builds but thats it, it really lacks punch. I can see this being really defensive, you can get like 2k evasion from vertex and 3k evasion from chest, that certainly makes a good defensive base.

Don't judge the class on damage purely, especially in this power creep age, when most of us do not lack damage. The Trickster traditionally never had a big punch, and I don't think GGG wanna make him a hard hitter. He is a speed clearer, with a lot of "tricks" up his sleeves and this revamp (or even old Trickster) already managed to achieve that quite well.

Yes, he might not be as OP as Pathfinder at the highest level of gear, but he will still be a very good and popular choice as league starter (both for DoT and hit build), SSF or HC.

It is incredibly powerfull indeed, just any of the modifiers is worth having , but all three? dang.
I am guessing here that those three are mutually exclusive, and once one of them fires the remaining cannot fire, ie:

20% to gain 50% extra chaos
......IF it does NOT fire then --> 15% to gain 100% extra chaos
............IF it does NOT fire then --> 10% to gain 200% extra chaos

Becuase it all three are not dependant from each other .... jeebus! that would be broken.

Glacial Cascade Trickster with 100% Physical to Cold, 50% Cold to Fire and 50% Physical to Lightning all feeding into additional Chaos Damage with 3+ hits on large monsters.

Sounds pretty crazy to me.

I don't think you're right.

Those separators are usually *AND* statements not *ELSE* statements.

It could even be that it was a *THEN* separator.

In other words:
80% chance of nothing.
20% chance of 50% added chaos, then if this condition is met, you also have 15% chance of 100%, then if that condition is met you also have a 10% chance of 200%.

I think that would make it:
[0.2*(1+0.5)] + [0.2*(1+0.5)*0.15*(1+1)] + [0.2*(1+0.5)*0.15*(1+1)*0.1*(1+2)]= 42% added.
