I don't understand how people see an active balancing team trying to introduce better balance into the game as some kind of a bad mark on them. It's a good thing. It shakes up the meta. Introduces new abuses as well as new puzzles to crack. What's the problem exactly? They doing what they sposed ta!

ALL of the best patchable games, get balance patches. For a reason.


But does the balance team actually try to "balance" the "broken" outliers and bring them in line? I'm all in regarding reshaping the "meta" every 3 months, but that doesn't give them a pass at having "abuses" possible "just because 1k balance team", not when everything else is and "feels" forgotten and inefficient.

Pigeonholing certain playstyes =|= diversity, which was a main "selling" point of PoE.

And as long as content is balanced versus all the "broken @#&^" first, everyone else gets "shafted" in a very bad way.

We're also not talking about "real balance" patches as "patchable games, get balance patches", although GGG's balance team could take a long look at Dota 2 and watch "balanced" ways to "shake metas". We're talking about PoE, which is on a timed "meta", but that doesn't mean everything else needs to be left in the dust...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...

You could not go rage and still take all the damage nodes and then either 2 minors or the warcry (assuming you plan to use that). It's a very subtle nerf and I think it's great that you still get a lot of the old Berserker ascendancy without rage.

I dont know why they even add drawback to something that isnt really so good.
50% increased damage is like not much.
25% attack speed either.
25% movement speed is good.

Its a meh bonus with in addition you need to stack before it get usable, plus it degen your life.
If it was 50% more damage and 25% more attack speed, 25% more movement speed then we would have something to discuss about.

Overally GGG wrote they want to give each class unique aspect, yet for me almost all of the presented classes are still boring and redudand adding nothing but pure stat sticks to the game.

I was looking forward to bigger changes like in example of possible deadeye bonus " Your projetiles fork and benefit from half of your additional projectile bonus". That would be totally mechanic changing aspect of the game itself, but only for this class. For me each class should present stuff like that, where the other cannot get it even with unique items or some other "stat sticks".

He may exagerated in the numbers, but he is not wrong in his thought. Other classes have the same if not higher damage buffs without downsides. If Berserker is supposed to be a glass cannon at least give him a Cannon

40% more damage, 148% increased damage, 62% attack speed in permanence looks like a good cannon to me.

Taking minor nodes? Doesn't that clearly shows this ascendency is not ok? Who would ignore main nodes to avoid a mechanic and still choose this class?

Remember one of the devs posted on reddit that they were lowering the life degen, but we don't know official numbers as to what its lowered to.

I dunno if lowering the degen will save the class. It's a start, for sure, but not a definitive solution. If Slayer is not changed drastically damage wise (in a bad way), it will be a no brainer. Nobody will bother playing berserker lol
