Berseker rage and Damage over time Penalty
^Yeah i'm not really disputing anything you state, it's also how i see it.
But at the same time - is this the final version? - how will the other ascendancy's look? It's like this every time around, people claiming doom. And they very well might be right, but sometimes they are not and other times we have to wait for the next major re-haul for changes. I mean, we all know what happened to the elementalist meta right? GGG takes out some cards and put's in some new ones. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" yea but stuff like this should released whit some information to it, not going to lie as is this zerk change looks odd they removed the leech from spells now is only Attack damage, they added a few new terms and features. Yet nothing to showcase how it actually works. like the you LOSE % life the rage it just feed into the fire that they dont test anything and reddit is the Q&A team lol Only a dumbass pays for a F2P game.

It might not be as bad as everybody says. People are kinda ignoring that each cast of a warcry gives them 25% life and the cooldown on the warcries is 2 seconds.

Let me point out that the fact that they spread it over 4 points to get the double effect is utterly STUPID. How could anybody just pick it by itself when cloaked in savagery gives you exactly the same bonus (25% speed, 50% damage), except you can have it instantly wherever you want with a doedre's elixir, and it gives 100% leech. Not 10% increased DOT taken and having to actually build it overtime. If it was vanilla 50/100 and then 2 points enhanced it in some way MAYBE we could start talking

" Why do you compare that when you can have it all? 25% attackspeed, 50% increased damage after savage hit 25% attackspeed, 50% increased damage at full Rage 40% more damage ...looks pretty impressive to me. Can't wait to try it out. Can probably go for a quite defensive tree with those amounts of damage from the Ascendancy. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

" sounds cool, how to plan to counter all the degen? Only a dumbass pays for a F2P game.

" I'll probably grab some life regen from the tree, maybe also on gear, and I'll have some leech. I doubt I'll often have "full 50 stacks degen time" while I'm not also attacking something. ...and in case of emergency, I'll drink from my health pot. If this does not work out in such a basic way, then GGG designed something that isn't functional in any ways. Not under/overpowered like they often do, but not functional. While I trust them to fuck balance up, I don't think they introduce stuff that really doesn't work at all, and even if, this would at least get a hotfix within a week or so. But, imho even more likely: We do not see the full picture yet. I'm not sold on "20% degen" being a thing. This sounds bonkers. Maybe we get some life regen / life recovery on the little nodes leading to "rage". Maybe we get some new Pantheon that helps. I don't know. We'll see when we get the full patchnodes. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

The most reasonable way to overcome the debuff is with instant leech via Atziri's Acuity or Bloodseeker. It's dumb in general because you're already going to take 10% increased damage and on top of that you'll be taking another 10% overtime with Rage for 50% atk damage and 25% atk speed. It would be better if there was no debuff and cut the attack damage bonus to 25% and 12% attack speed. You could just go defensive just take War Bringer instead since you only get like 5 rage and you wont generate rage too quickly. I'm planning to make a Dual Strike Berserker, and we'll see how that plays out.
We're all just walkin' through this darkness on our own.

" That's like a single jewel. I expect a bit more from my Ascendancy. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

" I always liked managing stuff like Reave stacks, Rampage - or "onslaught" in Titan Quest's Warrior class, which is pretty similar to this "rage". And there are so many ways to counter the loss of life in PoE, I doubt it will be allout suicidal to go for it. Sounds a bit rough on paper, but we'll see how it turns out. I'll certainly try it, probably even as a league starter. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Last edited by Peterlerock#5171 on Feb 16, 2018, 5:01:20 PM
