QoL is important you know
Does someone have any source (of any kind) where it lists the QoL updates that GGG is (hopefully) working on?
This game feels really good to me, but then there's SO F****** MANY QoL changes that could be added and would GREATLY improve most of your time spent in this game that I can't believe they're not done already... And all I keep seeing released are some crappy cosmetics. Does GGG realize the impact of QoL changes at all? I do believe that bringing cosmetics to add new reasons to supporters to add a bit more money to your game is fine, but please, PLEASE make it FAIR. You can't just go on a cosmetic spree and forget about QoL just like that. Ever read the F&S forum? It's full of them. Heck, there are even some that are so easy to code for the game that maybe a 2 y/o smashing a keyboard could successfully add it, like a small counter for currency droped into a trade window, or Guilds not having a log for stashes. I don't know what the community thinks about this but I feel cheated every time GGG releases a cosmetic MTX instead of a QoL; feels like they're trying to extinguish a fire with some volatile mix of fuel and Rhoa feathers. They don't list what they're working on, typically. They wait until it's ready. The map tab was available for sale before it was even officially mentioned.
One thing to realize is that the people who would make a new stash tab or work on guild improvements aren't the same people who make the cosmetic MTXs. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Jan 10, 2018, 8:24:15 PM

" Yeah, but those working on cosmetic MTX seem to have far more support from GGG than the others doing QoL improvements which seems off to me. |

It's likely that the people needed for a QoL project are also the people who work on the next league. So they can only do projects part time.

" No, for the same reason (almost) no game company ever releases any "what we're working on" information. Anytime they do that, it immediately gets interpreted as "we promise to deliver X by time Y". And when the thing they were working on gets delayed or proves to be unfeasible or impossible to implement in its planned state (as is the case way more often than someone who doesn't have an experience with software development process would realize), the There have been QoL updates in every major patch of PoE going back years, and they are often added in minor patches too. I'm not sure what you're complaining about. Unless you want GGG to drop whatever they're doing and immediately implement the one specific QoL change that you in particular wish for - which I hope you realize is not a realistic expectation. " https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Version_3.1.1e That is the most recent patch notes, and you can click back through previous patch notes to see the changes made -- all of them. I suspect you didn't actually want this even though you asked for it. Thanks for all the fish! Last edited by Nubatron#4333 on Jan 11, 2018, 11:35:57 AM

" That's too much reading for OP. Because even though GGG releases several QoL tweaks with basically every single patch, and this is obvious if you read patch notes, OP is still under the impression that it doesn't happen very often. |

" I have an alternate theory: the OP has a very, very specific list of changes in mind, and GGG are not delivering on that wishlist, so they conclude that GGG never do QoL improvements. Because, naturally, whatever the OP knows, so does everyone else in the world, and moreover, they always agree with them. |

" "Too much reading for OP", perhaps too much brainwork for you to process that you must factor in the impact that a QoL change causes on certain environment. "The Pitworm monsters from Abysses now only attack at very long range if other monsters are also attacking their target.", "Fixed a bug that could cause the microtransaction shop to take too long to load.", things like that don't create a feeling of game improvement on players; I'm talking about PALPABLE QoL changes, things like I first mentioned and things like the people often suggest. |
