Some POE members are so toxic

Best way to trade in this game is to be as cut and dry as possible, be done and be gone. Forget about niceties and emotional strings, just a simple "ty" at the end will do.

Long before this, there was no allocation of loot and co-op parties were truly toxic. GGG said they wanted this whole survival cut throat thing going on, so don't be surprised this is one of the reasons why the trade system is intentionally kept barbaric.

TBH, because most people who whisper and looking to bargain ARE trying to pull a fast one. Some are looking for a deal and I'll admit that POE has no set price. It's just an agreed upon consensus that things should sell for whatever and some people think it's like written in stone that a Xoph HAS to be 10ex, no way about it.

I'm pretty flexible but it also depends how low they go. I had a guy offer me 20c for a 40c listed item. I was like how about 30c. Then he thru 27 back at me like you're already getting 10c off. So he lost his item because of 3 fucking chaos that you could put together using the chaos recipe in a map that takes you 2 mins to run. Too bad so sad. And that's the thing. Some people haggle over the dumbest amount. They probably spend hours on PoE trying to save a chaos or 5 like great use of your time bro.

I'll contend that most people are probably way too rigid but we're only getting half the story. Nobody likes a low-baller so without knowing what your offers are, I mean yeah you could be walking around asking for stupid prices...

I usually have no issues with haggling either as a buyer or as a seller. I've bought a ton of items cheaper than they were originally listed for, and I've also sold a ton of items cheaper than I had them listed for. What annoys me, however, is when people have their items listed without a price, ask me for an offer, and then get mad at me for "lowballing". I mean, dude, if you have a certain price in mind, and if you think my offer is below it, then why the hell didn't you list the item for that price in the first place? Are you really expecting potential buyers to make offers that are at or above fair market value? Especially when fair market value can be rather difficult to determine for some items. I'm starting to think that it's probably best just to avoid "offer only" items. Not worth the time and effort.
Fuck master rotas. Fuck any kind of rotas, for that matter.
Wow maybe I live in a parallel universe but on the contrary I feel PoE player are really understanding when it comes to trade. I myself often suggest other forms of currencies if the buyer is short on chaos for Exemple, and sometimes I manage to get the same when I buy items.

Then again, sellers put a price on an item and you clearly have no right to complain if they refuse to discount it, what's that spoiled attitude? You often go to your nearby store and make a mess there because you couldn't have your toy for a discounted price? Wtf

Yup. I'm the ty;gl type of player so yes I don't buy from sellers without price. Too much of a hassle and prone to drama. And I sell cheap for flippers. Fast and done in seconds. That's how I trade in Wreaclast. I'm not swimming in exalts but if you play long enough you'll have what you want, or a good enough way cheaper alternative.

I've had some pretty positive experiences in trading, and I'm quite grateful to the traders who haven't been greedy.

As an example, i wanted to buy a decent Maw talisman the other night, which would fit my build well, and allow me a golem. there was no specific price listed. I couldn't be bothered to haggle, so I just offered him 24 Chaos, as it was all I had, and the next nearest amulet was a similar price.

He said he didn't know how much it was worth, but to give him a minute, so I did. He comes back, and tells me he'll take 16 for it.

On a related note, Guildmates have often given me free things, and turned down any offer of remuneration.

There was trader (flipper) who was selling cards for 40c. Normal price was 28c, but I bought all cards for this price up to 32c. Than I asked him if he can sell for 32c and he said I am scammer :). As I knew he was overpricing many other items I realize its his own projection and its also strategy how to make other players to pay more only not to be labeled.

Maybe they are toxic, but for sure are also greedy.

I am selling under price, or offering counterprice, many do the same. Example above is rare.

Easiest way is to put offer and some sentence with "?" mark as its opening for more negotiations.

I hate people who:

- Changes price all of a sudden.

- Overprice their shit.

- DND on, while they have stuff for sale.

- AFK, while they have stuff for sale.

I agree mostly, but on the flip side, I hate people who PM me 5 times to buy an item while I'm in a map. Don't buyers think to do a /whois? I will rarely leave a map to sell something and rarely have a moment to send a response so I can see the use of dnd here. Constant afk'ers are annoying though. I'll afk if I need to grab some food or take a dump, but it's usually 10m or less.

Also on the flip side why do you "Sell" items if you know you are not going to leave map.
I have my "cheap" tab i public only when i know i will stay in HO for a while.
Im both "seller" and "buyer", getting tons of pms is irritating but i also know how flustrating it is to buy anything listed for less than 1 ex so i don't make it harder to others by having my "tab" public all the time.

The least you can do is make some damn time to tell me your in a map. I always respond "Okay, i can wait".
