Some POE members are so toxic

I had this several times.
Whenever I try to bargain by asking if they could sell a little cheaper, and just one question then I'm immediately called a scammer. Why they are like that ?

Because PoE makes selfish arseholes of decent people and then expects them to behave civilly in their mercantile exchanges despite an utterly inadequate trade system manipulated by even more selfish arseholes. Lo fucking L.

SSF is the only way to avoid swimming in the poison. But fuck, that's like becoming a shut in because you're afraid of being hit by a car...assuming drivers love to use the sidewalk for target practice.

Either you avoid...or you get a car of your own...

Nothing about PoE really encourages bargaining or haggling. Supply vastly outweighs demand and there is zero incentive not to be a selfish arsehole. GGG like to pretend they've made the ARPG version of Eve Online. Well, their players have...sort of.

I try to avoid trades best as possible and normally would strictly play SSf but seems every league I get messages from people hey can you come kill X for me? So damned if I do thing. Last league made chars in both but leveling masters and dancing around all the atlas divine vessel bullshit became to much..


I normally run game with chat off and just go alone. Next league may go back to strict SSF.

There's "negotiable price" and "exact price". Try to bargain on exact price tags and you are the asshole first because you didn't read.

Yes I always try to negotiate with items with no fixed price tag. But I still get called that 2-3 times.

I hate people who:

- Ignore you for no reason, when trying to buy their item.

- Changes price all of a sudden.

- Overprice their shit.

- DND on, while they have stuff for sale.

- AFK, while they have stuff for sale.

You assume people use the tags correctly,i pmed guy that had helm posted for FIXED 999exalts,offered him 50chaos and he took it.

I use fixed price too and ppl pm me to lower price 1-2ex down. I never get mad,it is normal thing to do.
People post way overpriced,expecting bargaining.

especially if u see item that did not sell 7 days on fixed price,it is easy to take it down to 20% of price.

And yeah gotta love the "wtb x listed for 2 ex"

Ive seen people getting crazy if offered a lower price, on items that hasn't sold for weeks.

I had some someone a jewel from me on the day after Christmas. It was a quad tab full of abyssal jewels and I accidentally put the wrong one (with identical name) in the window and he says "you good mate?", I corrected the error and he said" yeah I thought so" I replied with "what?" and he said "fuck off".

In the past 12 months I can't recall an instance where I had such a bad transaction.
You hear horror stories on reddit but i had to experience on first hand to appreciate the variety of players poe has.

I bargain a lot without any issues personally.
