Last Shaper Memory Fragment?

Has anyone gotten the 15th memory fragment? I have been on 14/15 and have pushed elder influence into t15s - shaped and unshaped - and have not gotten the final memory fragment to spawn. Has anyone else had luck? I'm starting to think that it might come from somewhere else.

Nope the mechanics did change.


You need to kill a T15 boss on an elder influenced map to get the T15 fragment.
Thats how it works on all tiers as far as I can tell.

There is more than 1 as far as I know.

I got it in a T15 map in the same way as every other fragment. I don't remember if the map was corrupted or not.

Had it a guardian in or just normal elder influence?
I spreaded my influence now on 4 of the 5 T15 maps and can't seem to get memory fragment #15.

Been at 14/15 forever now, doing all t15 elder maps i can get to spawn but no luck :/

Been stuck on 14/15 for several days now, and have spent most of my time actively trying to get the last one. As far as I can tell, the Elder himself has to spawn in a clean (non-shaped) T15 map for this fragment, based on the quest text, and the fact that I have gotten him in a T14 but did not get the fragment. It's not enough to just do an Elder-influenced T15, or get a Guardian in a T15, or get Elder in a T10 and shape that to T15 (upon doing this, the map says "contains memory fragment", but the actual Elder fight in the map is a T10 one and not a T15 one, and no fragment drops upon completion).

This RNG portion of the quest is beyond asinine. I've cleared over 20 Elder/Guardian sets in the last few days, all of them centered around clusters of red maps, and still have not gotten this fragment. The absolute best-case scenario is getting the Elder area to spread across the red clusters in the Hydra and the Chimera quadrants of the map, since the two red areas together contain 3 natural T15 maps (Reef, Sunken City, and Lava Lake). Since the Elder spawns as soon as you hit 20 Elder-influenced maps, having this area gives you the best chance to get him to spawn in a natural T15, but this chance is still only 3/20 or 15%. Since the starting Elder area will not always be in one of these quadrants, you might need to settle on having only two natural T15s in the zone before he spawns.

At this point I'm going to have the endgame challenge completed before even getting to see the highest tier of the Elder, and I think that's incredibly stupid and poor design. Unless of course there is some hidden mechanic that I'm just completely missing, but I have tried everything I can think of and it all seems to boil down to RNG, yet again.
